The other supermarkets do have lower quality big brand items specially made, but Aldi does sell big names under it's own banner. For instance I bought a cheap dog crate and found that the product was actually Rosewood brand, selling at almost twice the price elswhere.
Therefore it's difficult knowing whether its a cheap or quality big brand.0 -
I've got one and am taking it back tomorrow under the 60 day guarantee. The colour is awful, the scart lead comes loose all the time and the x box connection in rubbish. I've tried numerous times to get through to the customer helpline and the line goes dead.0

The Op should save up for a little longer and buy a well-known brand rather than any supermarket cheapie.0 -
Buy a known make from John Lewis, Richer Sounds, or similar dealer, and you might just have a chance of the TV lasting 3 years or more, with a decent warranty if it doesn't.0

LG and Samsung have a good reputation for TV's and at good prices too. Supermarket brands can be OK for second or third room occasional viewing, but they are definitely not recommended as a main TV. They can be made by anyone but are usually not very good.0

Oh? Well seeing as I have a 42'' Technika TV which has been excellent for the nearly 5 years we have had it I would say it must be a good deal.0 -
I've got a 32" Polaroid TV that I bought from A*da. I had it delivered with my food shopping. 3 years and one house move on and its still going strong! Prior to that I had a Toshiba which died after just 13 months (annoyingly just out of warranty!) and was 3x more expensive.SPC7 ~ Member#390 ~ £432.45 declared :j
