I presume they were DRL also.
No as quoted earlier def. main beam headlights0 -
The reality is that the driver probably was not aware of their lights being on and had knocked the stalk. In daylight, the blue warning light is not very obvious. If you have auto lights then this is an easy mistake to make. Also daylight LED running lights are extremely bright though they are usually obvious from the various shaped designs used.0

I knew what you meant, some cars have the standard liughts as DRL, doubt Mercs do though, if the light switch is on a similar wiper stalk type switch?
where did you get the Merc bit from? (dreaming or simply making it up?)The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -

Why would you think there is something wrong with it? It's meant to be like that.
By the way, anyone complaining about their Auto headlights coming on too often and 'thinking about' overriding them, just do it! You're in control of your car!0 -
Not headlights, no - DRLs (new cars) or sidelights (Volvos since the beginning of time) but your DIPPED BEAM or MAIN BEAM or FOGLIGHTS shouldn't be always on, you control them with a switch.

It's a Volvo and the dipped beams come on if you turn the ignition, it's meant to. Sidelights can be turned to and double as parking lights so would be on even with the engine off, stop talking rot.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett
