Your existing Tesco Clubcard will continue to function.

Thanks Steve. I'm grateful to you for that.

Just to also add - when you pay with your Tesco Debit Card - the checkout will first recognise it as a club card and then a prompt will appear on the screen asking if the customer wishes to pay with the card. It is also the same for a tesco credit card.

I have a sole Tesco current account. I know a person can have another. My wife doesn't have one as yet but her income is less than £750/m. I can't recall how they ask income questions now when I applied for mine.
Also is a joint account allowed as well as a sole account each? Or could we each have two plus one or more joint accounts?

Has anyone got to the end of the application process and been told that "additional checks" will be required? More to the point, what did this lead to? I made four applicatioms yesterday, two for me and two for the wife. By Sod's Law it was her second one that tripped out. So much for trying to get all four anniversary dates to coincide :(

Tesco Bank couldn't explain. Any thoughts?

yes I got the message 'additional checks are required'

so am on the phone waiting to talk to them now!

Having just spoken to them they said:
someone is having a quick check through your application and details, we do not need anything more from you, either you will hear from us within 5 working days or you will receive your 'application pack'

so now waiting to end of week to see what happens I guess...

I had to call about four times - it eventually turned out to be queries about previous addresses they'd found during the credit check.

did you have to clarify something about them on the phone?

they told me they do not require anything else from me and I should just get something in the post...within 5 working days (ie by friday), so I do wonder what 'checks' they are doing if they require nothing further from me

They called me, went through the details I'd entered and said "OK". I asked why this had been necessary and they replied that it was just a random check. Huh!

If you need to take out a large amount of money, where can this be done?
