Halifax to Lloyds is still an "internal transfer".0
-
I've asked Lloyds about this several times. Each time they've said that they exclude internal transfers. Do I take it that you've been using transfers for some months and not been charged maintenance fees?
Yes. I have SD set up between two 2 Club Lloyds on the same day and the fees are always refunded, exactly the same as Vantage before.Mark Hughes' blue and white army0 -

Confirmed. I have Lloyds, TSB, Halifax, Tesco accounts all requiring funding and all made internally with no issues, in my case manually and via a spreadsheet that reminds me what to do and when on a plethora of similar requirements, eg credit card payments by due date (as a Stoozer). The only ones I have to feed with £500 are my 3 Santander 123s, which I choose to do via SOs from my Barclay's account. Where 2 DDs are required these are via Egg (Yorkshire) and Tesco Savers, set at £1 and creamed every few months when I bother. My spreadsheet has 26 DDs set up this way.0 -

Do I take it that you've been using transfers for some months and not been charged maintenance fees? I play safe (see previous) and fps in, then out, funds from other institutions. Fps-ing four Santander, three Club Lloyds, six TSB, one First Direct, three Nationwide and three Yorkshire accounts takes just under an hour - and is probably the most profitable hour's work I do each month.
Incidentally, "caught a cold" was their (Lloyds') phrase, not mine
When you say 3 Club Lloyds and 3 Nationwide (presumably FlexDirects), is 1 in your name, 1 joint and 1 in the OH's name? Same with TSB (2 in your name, 2 joint and 2 OH)?0 -
BTW do remember that Lloyds caught a cold, permitting inter-account transfers to fulfill the conditions. That was one of the things they corrected when they started up the Club Lloyds accounts. Tesco may, eventually, catch the same cold - so keep your eyes open for a sudden change!
No mention here about inter account transfers not being permitted

Surely better to rely on the published T&C, rather than what someone at Lloyds has said to you- so let's see it in the T&Cs

Yes. They are all (I hope) filling out the maximum permitted (at the time of opening) for Her Indoors and myself, except for the First Direct account, which is a portal to two 6% Regular Savers (one each). The Santanders are two each and the Yorkshires one each and a joint.0 -
The monthly interest for Tesco Current Accounts is paid on the anniversary of the account being opened, so it's no surprise that the paying-in requirement is the same. Santander does the same thing...it's definitely annoying cos I'm used to early-in-the-month interest paid by Lloyds, TSB, Halifax, etc.0

Has anyone got to the end of the application process and been told that "additional checks" will be required? More to the point, what did this lead to? I made four applicatioms yesterday, two for me and two for the wife. By Sod's Law it was her second one that tripped out. So much for trying to get all four anniversary dates to coincide
Tesco Bank couldn't explain. Any thoughts?0 -
I realise that this is a somewhat peripheral concern but I hope someone will be able to help.
I’ve just made a successful application for the Tesco Current Account and am waiting for the paperwork to arrive.
I understand that the debit card also functions as the holder’s club card. For reasons of domestic budgeting I have always paid cash for my weekly shop.
If I continue paying by cash is it possible to use only the Clubcard function of the debit card for the points? Alternatively, will the existing Clubcard continue to function?
I’ve done numerous searches but have been unable to find an answer. No doubt someone with a more imaginative turn of mind, when it comes to search terms, would have scored a direct hit.
Thanks.0 -
