NEW Tesco Current Account - 3% on £3,000

I'm a little confused by this
Are you saying that you pay money to Tesco savings accounts from your Lloyds Club current account by direct debit
and that your Lloyds Club current account appears as someone/somewhere you can pay money to, from your new Tesco current account?
If so, am I the only one who finds that odd?
Sorry if I did not make myself clear. What I am saying is that I had Lloyds Club as a payee with my Tesco instant access and internet savings accounts and the same payees are listed when I am asked to select a payee in my current account with Tesco. I was surprised by this as you usually have to create a new payee with each account. Yorkshire/Clydesdale is the same."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -

Thanks
Now I understand :T0 -
I'm that fuming I am!
There's no late payments or CCJs or anything of that nature on my CRA files0 -
:mad: I'm that angry I am. My granddad didn't fight in the war for his grandkid to get treated like this!:eek:0

You've already had two "bites" Pinhead. How many more do you expect?
I'd be looking for some sort of kompensayshun myself. How dare they refuse you!:D0 -

Judging by your earlier posts, you have big credit facilities, and this will be information on your credit files. It is very likely that Tesco feel they don't want to give you any more. You can fume all you like but they are free to decide who to do business with.0 -

So tried again and application was completed and is showing that my current account is being processed underneath my savings accounts. So tried to apply for a second current account and received this message:-
Your application
Sorry, you're not eligible for this account
You can only have two Tesco Bank current accounts.
Our records show you already have two accounts with us.
Anyone else have this problem?I reckon your first, abandonned, application still hangs about, and the system thinks you have two valid applications on the go. Best to call them. I managed to get both applications completed, and they both show underneath my savings accounts. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

I've applied to Nationwide. If I don't get my Nationwide debit card through by Saturday I'm gonna be furious I am!
I stand corrected, I am already furious:eek:0 -
Tescos did after all get a bit confused with my two applications somewhere along the way. I do have both accounts online now but it took two calls to get them to activate the second account.
PINs and cards haven't arrived yet but I don't really plan to use them anyway. Someone who wants to use the account as their current account should allow a good 2 weeks to get a fully usable account. Not the longest it takes to open a current account but also not the fastest.
I haven't tried their mobile app but I find the online banking rather cumbersome to use. There is one feature, though, that I love: all your payees and linked external accounts are available in all accounts, which makes it ever so easy to send money to someone from any of your accounts. I wish other banks & Nationwide would provide this functionality.0
