Why isn't my house selling?!

It looks much better and is clearly less cluttered, so that's great. However, the photos are poor quality. Not only does that annoy me anyway but I think it's making the wallpaper look more dated than it might with decent photos and good lighting.0

A lot of comments on the decorating. You arent expected to guess what kind of decor your ultimate buyer will like... its more about creating a plain home where the majority of people will say to themselves 'i could live with that for a while til i got round to doing my own decorating' .
Ive known a lot of people reluctant to move 'because it wont feel like my home'.0 -
is this the updated pics or the old ones??
If this was near me I'd snap it up as in the South East it would be 200k minimum. It also looks well decorated to me as most people just tear all the deco out anyway. The only thing that would put me off is the sloping driveway which would be awful in bad weather. Maybe a few pots of flowers might help in the garden or some cheap garden and chairs to make it look more of a garden.
any offers yet??0 -
I am also surprised it hasn't sold, as this is a very good price for a 3 bed detached. Is it a very rough area?0

Looks really out dated and dull - really small and I wouldn't touch it to be honest. Far too small, especially for a detached.
But he outside looks nice.0 -
depends how big a family you have for a couple it would be idea. I'd snap it up if it was near me.0

Is "he outside" the male equivalent of 'her indoors?'
You have very high expectations for a first time buyer.
I wish my first house had been that size, that 'dated' and detached!

Hi everyone,
Just a quick update to let you know how I got on :-)
The original agency contract finished in mid-September, around the time I found a house I wanted to buy (a new build). The new build developers offered me their 'assisted purchase' scheme, which meant I was now working with an estate agent who had a better incentive to sell the property (although I had to lower the price a little bit more).
The house sold at the end of September, with my new build ready to move in to mid-November. After a fraught week of trying to get the buyer's conveyancer to do their job - they only worked until 3pm, and didn't work at all on Fridays - I exchanged on November 28th and completed on December 1st.
I've been in my new home just over a week and love it. The build quality is exceptional and the developer has been very proactive in getting a couple of small snags sorted.0 -
Glad it all worked out.
It usually does, if people stay flexible and upbeat, like you were.0
