:hello: Hi there greent - good to have you back!
    Welcome to all newbies

jlhmd, if you follow the lists on Post 1 (normally added each evening for the following day by Dusty or Natty) you will find that by the end of the week you will have done something in almost every room. Don't worry if you don't manage to complete the list each day - most of us never do that, and Rome wasn't built in a day! - but every little bit you do is an achievement, and gradually over time you will find your home becoming cleaner and tidier and easier to maintain. There are no lists for Saturday or Sunday: some people use the weekend to catch up on flying, others take the weekend off. Some of us don't really follow the lists very much and have our own routines, but we enjoy the company and encouragement offered on this friendly forum.

I wrote up the meeting Minutes, started the WM and remembered to email my brother before I left home. Now at my voluntary job, but it looks like we won't have many clients today because we're in the middle of a thunderstorm and downpour  After last week's rush, I shall enjoy a quiet hour or three.
Think I'll sort out the photos and FB on my phone while I've got the chance :D

welcome jlhmd666, the thing about cleaning is however big your house it tends to be like the forth bridge constantly needing attention, by doing the lists or as much as we can off our own and a room a day we are slowly chipping away and each week it gets a bit easier to maintain.
for example mine didnt look too bad on friday as id done most of the lists last week (and theres nothing like inviting another flylady round for a cuppa to keep to on track) anyway weekend off a few visitors DS2 deciding he wanted to move all the furniture round in his room with our help! so everything had to come out! along with a couple of days of taking it easy and by sunday night the whole house looked trashed!!!! last night i felt like it would take me all month to pull it back but a quick tidy in the lounge sorting cushions throws folding washing and removing the weekends newspapers and it looks ok again, kitchen will be next.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I am going to do some cleaning in the kitchen / dining area today. It's a half and half, separated by a breakfast bar and the dining side tends to get very messy with the table used more as a storage space than something we sit and eat meals round :o

    Morning

I get bird strike on the windows, as I have a 'through lounge', with patio windows, one end, and bay window the other, birds seem to think they can fly through!!, soapy ages ago sent me some stick on birds, as other birds think there are other birds there and keep away, it seems to work in most cases, and saves cleaning feathers / oil marks off the windows.

    DW unpacked and sorted
    Bed stripped
    WM is on
    1st load out on line
    Meter readings done
    Money shuffle done
Found £12.95 lurking in a paypal account, so had that out, not much, but it all helps, don't see why paypal should have it, note to self to check more often, not that I have any eby sales now, as most of the decluttering is done over the years thanks to this thread.

    To do:-
    Kitchen
    Garden
    Car clean inside / outside
Ironing, once all washing is done and dry.

  • Morning all - thanks LynnJK and Mrs M-P - not sure I'll be or want to be around in another 30 years - will be older and more cantankerous than I am now!!!!

Thnaks for threads Natty Dusty and Bossy.

Pouring down here today so not like 30 years ago when it was brilliant sunshine!

May go out for lunch but mindful of weigh in tomorrow - what a daft day to pick - Tuesday - sort of spoils the weekend!

Off to do some pre packing ironing. Will be off list all week most probably.

Welcome to all newbies and returners.
