Surely, you know what you can and can't do? Unless you have exactly the same issues as the OP?

No, I was answering someone who was talking about fitting kitchens, with no legs, which was what bought up my wheelchair comment.

The OP problems are given as:

"Having looked through the OP's previous posts, it seems the health issues are thyroid problems, sinus tachycardia and depression. I suffer from the first two (have done for years thanks to Grave's disease which causes the tachycardia) and have always worked fulltime, so I'm guessing the depression is the reason for the incapacity. Only the OP knows what she can and can't manage"

And, on they basis, yes, I have had depression and thyroid problems (which had no effect on household stuff,) but have never had a Graves Disease, which might well do.

In my view (and it is just my view), the OP's primary problem is a partner that doesn't bother to do much in the home.....

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

You need to go and read it again... I clearly said: "I had a carpenter in a wheelchair with no legs who was also left paralysed after a motorcycle crash fit my kitchen counters single handed and he did a fantastic job."

How did he manage to measure, try, fit, measure, saw, fit again, seal them all from a wheelchair?

Being serious, my kitchen fitters had to try things a lot, go back to the saw thing, fit the sink, plumb it, seal it, fit the taps etc., sort out the wall with the worktop.....and I honestly cannot see how anyone in a wheelie, let alone someone paralysed, with no legs, could do this?....

A wheelchair,, with the best will in the world, is very restrictive.

I am, of course, working on the assumption that you have a kitchen sink, within these kitchen worktops!

I am totally appalled at some of the comments I have received!!

I need some help as I have no working kitchen and some comments are really quite disgusting!!

Its out of order I have had no working kitchen for 6 months, no washing machine since March!!

    This site is very uncaring!!

It's not about being uncaring -it's about being realistic.

I don't know if you are a troll. But working on you are not, then you either need to kick your partner up the backside, find a willing family member, do it yourself, or pay a stranger.

I am disabled. I get it totally - but they are the only options.

Virtual hugs, kisses, and sympathy might be good, but they won't get the kitchen fitted, will they?

Stop trying to prove me wrong, I'm not fibbing I really did have a guy in to to the work as I stated. I never said he installed a fitted kitchen and I never said he installed a sink or mentioned any plumbing. Work tops were cut to size when ordered and delivered along with the rest of the stuff.

The point I was making... even if some don't like it, is that being disabled does not always mean you can't do some home DIY. After hearing what disabilities the OP supposedly has I'm sure she is capable of offering her partner a helping hand.

I also find it funny that the OP finds it insulting being called lazy and told to get up of her behind yet is happy to address her partner in the same manner.

Yes, I do know that disabled people can do things (and I wasn't trying to prove you wrong, I was just curious!), but I just assumed a kitchen worktop would involve final fitting and a sink, but as it included neither, then great!

But, the OP's partner still needs a kick up the !!!!......

As I have stated I have a number of health issues and I am limited as to how I can help my partner!!

Its not easy for me having a heart condition, and other medical issues!!

If I could help my partner more I would as I said in my previous post!!

And Morglin is right my partner just doesnt want to do anything in the home and I have a right to bloody moan without going with the basic ammenities, my family are fuming over it!!

Then get your family to help.

You seem very angry in much of your posting history. Surely it wont help your heart problem.

I feel stressed all the time and my partner knows it!!

I've been trying to get him to do something in the kitchen these past 5 weeks to no avail!!

Even over the recent bank holiday, he did nothing!!
