  • Have a lovely birthday, tea! Do something nice for yourself this evening!

Loving the penguins and now I want a melon on my head!

The penguin visit is February, incidentally. Tomorrow is farm animals, ponies, alpacas, small animals like chinchilla's, reptiles, snakes and spiders! The owner of the farm is going to take us around personally, she even gave me her mobile number in case I need it. WaSp is going out today to buy vegetables for the animals which she said was all she would accept as a donation from me. She said just bring a few carrots or a cauliflower but I think I can do a bit better than that!

Watermelon head for everyday going about.
    Pumpkin head for Halloween.
    Giant egg head for Easter.

  • Hahahahaha! I can be seasonal!

I have another possible day out planned if I can manage it. My teacher friend would like us to visit him in the summer. It's a 4 hour car drive which is pushing it for me but it would truly be lovely to see him. I am totally relaxed around him having known him for 30 years so once I make it into his house I can breathe again, it is just dealing with the journey.

Ooh a camper van would be a good idea. Or if you cant stretch to it, hire a normal van, hoy a mattress in the back and hide there with your phone/tablet so Team WaS can support you.

I shouldn't be here. I feel like my head may explode. So much work today.

  • Whitewing! I have missed you lots!

Aw, sorry to hear that, code. Can you break it down into little things?

A van is probably the way to go. I am not sure I can be exposed for that long without getting myself in a state and I don't want to turn up with rampant psychosis! At the same time I really want to go, he has always been a father figure to me and always makes me feel very safe and cared for. I need to work something out...

    Welcome back, Whitewing!:)

WaS, if you're planning to do the round trip in a day, how about leaving really early in the morning, really, really early, so that it's dark for most of the way. Then come back in the dark.
Believe me, it's nigh impossible to see clearly who's in a car at the best of times, let alone in the dark.
In addition, instead of your blanket, how about a full head veil, like a bride's, but in a dark colour. A net curtain? You could dye it brown with coffee or tea. Then you could look out, but nobody could possibly see you.
You be the Mysterious Veiled Lady! Very, very chic!

    You could have a blog......
Mysterious Veiled lady goes to see the animals.
MVL goes to feed the penguins.
    Etc. etc. !

My boss called me this morning, wished me happy birthday. She said I've got loads of time owed so I could finish early if I wanted (lovely), then dumped yet more work on me. So no chance at all of beggering off, however tempting. How passive aggressive lol.

The business is being sold and split in the next couple of months and I'll be made redundant (again). So difficult to find any motivation to do work I don't enjoy at the best of times, when I know it's all going to be scrapped post-April anyway.

Love the idea of Tales of the Mysterious Veiled Lady :):)
