I am confused. I have the codeine and Tramadol that I take daily and they have no effect on the chest pain. Plain old Lemsip does which only has paracetamol. It makes no sense, codeine and Tramadol are far stronger. Oh well, I won't knock it if it works!
They work on different centres of the brain WaS OH takes tramadol and codeine and parcetamol the nurse said that it made the others work better.
I just take tramadol it actually helps with the eating as no food throw up bit of food don't throw up.0 -

Good idea, melly! This isn't your crumpet, it belongs to Pyxis!
I never knew that about those drug interactions, that makes sense! The relief of the side pain easing up is wonderful no matter which drug manages it.
Aww, Pyxis, you have been suffering for ages, too. Is it any better?Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Hey! That's good thinking, Mellymoo!
Let's see, what else do I fancy that you could eat for me...................
...........I quite fancy a triangular piece of cheese and tomato toastie, wholemeal bread please!
(I don't have any cheese.)
Edit.It seemed to be getting better until today, when it started tightening up in my chest. Decided to stay in bed. Yesterday afternoon when I got up for a bit, I started to feel very faint, but haven't felt faint today, yet.(I just lurve spiders!)

Don't be hard on yourself Melly. You have a lot to deal with so a slip is understandable. We all fall down sometimes, it's the getting back up and continuing that's the important thing.
Pyxis do you have any lemon juice and honey? You can drink lots of that hot. Also running your shower on hot for a while, shutting tbe bathroom door and breathing in the steam for 15 minutes can help loosen off the mucous.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
I second honey and lemon, Pyxis. Do stay in bed today if you are feeling faint when up, lots of easy to watch tv and blankets!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Actually, I've also got essential oils of Rosemary which is good for respiratory stuff, and tea tree, which is antibacterial too, so I could stick that in hot water and do an old-fashioned inhalation under a towel!
That's good for the complexion, too, as the steam open up the pores and cleanses!
I'll go and do that in a min!(I just lurve spiders!)
