Even if they don't win, being nominated is always a feather in the cap.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
  • It really is, and they deserve that for their kindness.

  • I'm so pleased for you WaS, there is not enough kindness in the world is there? Its so nice to hear about kindnesses like this.
  • OK, it's official. The cheapest place by far where I have seen panettone is Wilko's. £2.99 for a big one. Lidl also do one for £2.99 but it's smaller.

(I haven't tasted the Wilko one, but it looks OK from the box, and I've never had one I didn't like so far :D )

  • Aw, thank you Joan. They are indeed very kind, I still can't quite believe it!

I have to hunt down a panettone! I have yet to read that someone doesn't like it. Asda don't sell it so adding it to the weekly shopping isn't an option. I shall have to find somewhere for Wasp to buy one.

  • The more I read about the lovely christmas experience planned for you WaS :)

    Morissons do good value panettone.

Glad to see you have been doing stuff today codemonkey.

    Great pictures pyxis.

Not much glamour in this trip, adventure maybe!! The truck has died so we had to get a public bus today to our next stop. We have a real bed for the first time in 9 nights. 3 nights here then 21 nughts camping 4 are bushcamping with no facilities, definitely not glamourous :) Tomorrow glacier boardwalks at Glaciar Perito Merino in Patagonia. Tonight had awesome patagonian lamb which is cooked over a fire, yummy!

I have. I think I mentioned it before - the Marks and Sparks one is horrible, far too sweet and sickly.
Also, if buying for the first time, don't go for adulterated ones, ie covered in chocolate or different flavours. Try the ordinary plain classic one first.

Geminilady. Thank you! It's just a question of a google search plus the word 'image'. Sometimes it needs a different search title to get a result. There are occasions when I can't find anything suitable.
The panda was an accident - I'd seen it the other day while looking for something else, and remembered it!
A couple I've seen on other threads. I reckon that if they make me giggle, they'll be good for here too!

(By the way, if anything ever upsets anyone, please tell me, and I'll remove it.)
