Ok. I've shaken off some of the apathy that's been plaguing me since Friday night. I've managed to put a load of washing on, empty and refill the dishwasher (Mr Monkey just doesn't see mess), empty the recycling bin, tidy up a little bit, finish one of my crochet scarves and do some more work on the other one. We were supposed to be putting the tree up today but remembered we needed more twinkle lights and we'd have to do way more tidying up.
The lunch was ok - food was reasonable, I managed to keep up conversations with everyone around me and it was ok.
Fantastic news about Santa WaS.
Oldestgnome - I'm very jealous of your trip. Keep us informed when you can.
Hello everyone else.
I'm off to find Christmas cards and see if my address book has made it's annual trip to lost-stuff-I-need land.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Give or take a bit of fur, Pyxis!
He has tried a huge amount of reasons of why it isn't necessary for him to be there so far, I am ignoring all of them. I told him he can take photo's and pretend nothing else is really happening.
So glad lunch went well, Code! You have to have twinkling lights! I have four sets up right now, twinkling everywhere!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Just tell him if he sits in the car by the time you get back to him his gentlemen's important bits will have turned into hailstones!.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Hahahahahaha! I spluttered tea everywhere, errata! I am going to tell him that!
Ha! WaSp just got told off by Milliefleur "Stop being a misery, WaSp and let WaS enjoy herself!" She thinks that it is lovely and poor WaSp is getting no sympathy for his embarrassment. I am giggling a lot.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Codemonkey, you've done a hell of a lot, and you've done it while feeling ghastly! That's one hell of an achievement! On top of a Christmas lunch party and all the general Christmas stress!
I think you need to congratulate yourself!(I just lurve spiders!)

Goodness, I've missed a lot.
Lir, so sorry about big dog, being planned doesn't make it hurt any the less.
WaS, loved reading about your planned trip, your excitement is catching. I've finally got round to putting up a few Gitdog proof decorations and am now eyeing up the mince pies.
Code, I still have all my cards to do as well. Not tonight though.
JM, got that autism article bookmarked to read later, I like reading those types of explanatory articles.
Oldestgnome, how's your Spanish? (Mine led me to ask for a smellier top instead of a smaller one.:o)
And everyone else who's posted since I've been an internet free zone, not ignoring you, just finding it hard to keep up!All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

There are such things as Gitdog-proof decorations? Or is he still being an angel after his Bronze award?

Haha! I'm now imagining him with a black and white striped beard! A bit like a male Cruella Deville! (But without the !!!!!! Dasterdly personality!)

Thank you Pyxis. I think I just got overwhelmed with everything I have to do and it just put me into a procrastination spin. :rotfl:
I have at least managed to find my address book, cards and a working pen so I'm ahead there.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Gitdog proof decorations are those that are well above nose and furniture level. No tree this year as we did a bauble test drive and it was not a good thing.
I now have an exciting evening ahead ploughing my way through about 100 emails and surveys. Can't believe how quickly the spam accumulates. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
