It will be fun! I used to go to pubs a lot and on the occasions I didn't drink I was somewhere between being amused and horrified watching people throughout the night. It is amazing how much it can change some people, even just a couple of drinks. The group dynamics is really interesting. I think I need to start reading up on psychology related things. I really struggle with groups and communication. I'm the person who is always left sitting quietly in the corner.
I'm going to set myself a goal of going to the library next week and finding some books to read. Seem's small but that's quite a task for me who only goes out when essential at the moment. If it wasn't for the dogs I think I could very easily become like WaS and rarely leave the house. So much easier to stay in and avoid the pain, vertigo and stressful interaction with people.
I've been 'poked' to sort myself out a bit more anyway. My physio from 'The Big Hospital' has been talking to my GP and informed them I need a bit more help with my depression and anxiety, I know I need sorting out but find it so difficult to pick up the phone and make an appointment, and then so hard to explain myself. I have an appointment for Tuesday now
Meanwhile Full-of-Jumping-Beans has got Jelly-Beans again as there are constant fireworks going off again
This afternoon we went to an 'Afternoon Tea Party' , wasn't in the mood at all but really enjoyed it in the end , especially the yummy CAKEand even a singing session :rotfl: quite uplifting actually.
Husband says it's dog walk time..... I hope the rain and fireworks have stopped .....

Hugs for you and poor Full-of-Beans dog, oyster.
In situations where psychology comes into play I have always found that the more I can learn the more empowered I feel. Plus it is a huge relief to find out in the case of groups that these scenarios play out everywhere to various extents. Once you can grasp the dynamics it becomes a lot less threatening and you can even find yourself in the position of being able to control the interactions to an extent.
Good luck for Tuesday. The thing to remember with depression and anxiety is to keep functioning. Now, functioning can be something very small. I remember when my aim a day was to wash up one mug. After that I could withdraw but every day I made myself do that one small task and allowed myself to feel proud of doing so. When you are feeling low and anxious split everything into bite sized chunks, the tiniest thing is a victory. Then you can begin to build on it.
I will be thinking of you on Tuesday, please let us know how it goes.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

The reading up is a good idea. Understanding something always makes it easier to deal with. That was what made me feel so bad - not understanding what was going on, and then not understanding why I didn't understand it!!!
WaS, I've just eaten some spiced pumpkin yoghurt. Delish. Another idea for your purèe mountain! This was a bought yoghurt, but basically, if you were to get a natural yoghurt and mix it with the pumpkin and some orange purèe, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg, you'd have the same thing.(I just lurve spiders!)

Was feeling utterly carp (cos of work, and seemingly beau ignoring me
)
But several beers later i'm now feeling better, not that i recommend alcohol (and i really shouldn't be drinking...bad xXMessedUpXx!) but my mood has at least lifted.
Plus i'm off work tomorrow so that is a plus.

Good morning, all!
MU, hope Beau is behaving today!
I'm tired. Littlewing dragged me out of bed this morning. She hates playing on her own in a room. She wanted DH really but this is his first chance of a lie in for a fortnight. I doubt he'll get back to sleep though as she is singing. Still, I will take the singing over ceebeebies first thing on Sunday morning.
ETA: An interesting article here on how the Danes are tackling childhood obesity. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-29755469:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. My morning has been spent with me and Gitdog locked out if the house. I locked myself out last night, didn't put the spare key back straight away, then did exactly the same this morning. Memory like a sieve at the moment, no idea why. Gitdog wasn't happy as he was a breakfast free zone, and we had to walk to mums to beg a lift home and for her to let us in with her key.
Interesting programme on radio 4 when I got back - Hardeep Singh Koli talking to a chap with Aspergers who spent years non verbal, in care, and verging on suucidal. He now lives independently and has an advocacy role with People First. Well worth a listen. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

That's so odd elsien, we spent a while locked our of most of the house this morning too...confusing story so I'll not bore anyone with it.
The rest of the day we' been undercoating some plaster work upstairs.
Neither fir or I have ever wall papered. We have a TINY tiny walk in wardrobe waiting to be fitted It only fits clothes on one wall because its so narrow. ( and we have stuff on both sides ( shoes on the other side, one has to slither in there like a snake and rummage through clothes too tightly packed together on a rackety hanging rail and rarely find what you want)
Anyway, we thought it might be a good place to learn this skill with some not too expensive wall paper, maybe. Over winter break when fir has some Time off:).
We'd quite like to get top coat in wardrobe done tonight but seems increasingly unlikely now......next weekend eh?0 -
I came out of the shower a few months ago and realised it was going to rain. I had just my robe on (not even slippers) and nipped out to grab the washing off the line. Managed to get locked out and littlewing was still inside. I waited in the pouring rain for an hour, peering through the kitchen window because I didn't dare to leave littlewing. She was bellowing for me to stop messing around and every so often would fling herself on the floor our of sight in a tantrum because she couldn't understand why I didn't come in. It was worse when the tantrum stopped and she wandered off to play.
Of course, it was the one day that DH went to the shop on his way home. And then he hadn't bothered to take a key with him as he knew I'd be at home. Having longer arms than me, he managed to reach through a little window to open the big window and climb in. He was not in the least sympathetic.
I am impressed today - 9th November and I managed to get washing out on the line!
