    I've been Money Tipped!
I don't smoke I gave up years ago. However I do miss it sometimes I would never go back, couldn't afford it for a start. Although I have found myself wanting to try e cigs like WaS says I miss the habit of smoking rather than the taste. I also love the sound of all the nice flavours. I wonder if there have been any studies done on how many people have either returned to or taken up smoking due to the e cigs? I won't but must admit I am tempted.

I think that's why a lot of people are very concerned about them.

Someone I know with years of eczema/dermatitis uses a tiny amount of steroid cream for about 6 weeks, then switches to the other system - his own urine, mixed with a little glycerine to make it stick. Don't knock it, stone workers/brickies have always sworn by peeing over their hands at the end of the day.

The best feet softening creams contain urea I trust it is an artificial additive they use!

It's no different to the alchopop craze all the effects of alcohol but not the taste.
  • Urine is meant to be useful a lot of things. I couldn't do it but I don't see anything wrong with it if it is helping! I was just wondering how you were Solar, good to hear from you!

Funny you should mention that, iam. My american friend wants to try e-cigs since I have started using them. She has never smoked but likes the idea of the flavours and that the nicotine might relax her (she has bad anxiety). I am hoping she doesn't go for it or I am going to feel dreadful.

If she goes for it, it is her decision not yours, WaS.

I am really pleased that WaSp is smoking them too. Do they do 'manly' flavours or is he having the same as you?

Weeing on your feet is meant to be good for chilblains as well. Not one I've tried as yet, so can't comment on the efficacy.

See, this thread is informative for all sorts of reasons. Any one up for a pub quiz? :)

Just noticed my signature has gone haywire, need to go play. Edit - sorted.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • WaSp likes cherry! They do tobacco flavoured if you want something familiar but I much prefer the sweet flavours. Right now we are both on the highest strength but for me at least I intend to reduce it over the next year until hopefully I can just use flavoured water. I obviously need to discuss that with my doctors first, though because my medication will need to be adjusted to have the same effect without nicotine.

How does smoking e cigs compare cost wise to normal cigs?

£3 for a small bottle of menthol flavour which lasts me a couple of weeks.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
  • As Errata says it is about the same for me. It is much, much cheaper. A bottle for me lasts 10-14 days, it lasts WaSp 7 days but he always smoked more heavily than I did. It is still a huge saving, though. It was costing me £15 every 2 weeks previously and I used to smoke roll-ups to try and reduce the cost. It is even greater if you smoked ready-made cigarettes.
