My back hurts badly. Fir and I have been babying me and wondering if its the autumn weather or doing to much, now I just wonder if its hormones catching me unawares.

(Edit. I have returned and put spaces in and a penguin warning....I don't know if its one or not. Better safe than sorry )

    Possible penguin in next paragraph.......

We 've been doing life gardening and wood staining today, nothing strenuous, but all the cats and dogs have been trying to help and its felt quite arduous. Then someone who keeps a horse here told us she'd seen people in an empty field blackberrying. They ran off when she went down there and by the time she got back and we drove around the lanes we couldn't find them. The field is empty partly because it was sprayed and nothing in there should be eaten. :( I wish people didn't trespass but it don't want them to be unwell because of it.

If you're quick, you should be able to pick up a costume of some sort for Gitdog for Halloween!
My favourite is the dog being eaten by a crocodile. I'll go,get it.

lIR, sorry to hear about your back. If you were constantly bending to move the animals out of the way, that would have done it, I expect.

WaS, a tiny weeny psych course I did a long time ago, said that Little Albert's phobia wasn't reversed. Also, I think he was an orphan. I was horrified and wondered for ages what had become of him.
Edit. Have just googled it . Apparently he wasn't an orphan. He died of hydrocephalus at the age of 6. He must have had it since birth.

Here it is. I know I shouldn't laugh, but it really creases me up! It's so clever! Be it ever so disrespectful, though!
The worst thing I ever did to my dog was (try) to put some reindeer antlers on at Christmas, but they kept falling off!

I got my dog a santa coat for Christmas. I thought it was adorable but everyone said I was being mean.

    What do people think?

Are we giving our pets complexes by dressing them up for a laugh?
Or does it just depend on the pet, like it does with humans?

Are pets 'hurt' by being laughed at? Or do they see it as a game?

Oh, just remembered. I did try to put an elf hat and cuffs on her one Christmas, as well. They didn't last long either!

I looked at Gitdog, I looked at the suits of armour, and decided on balance possibly not.

I think the important word in that sentence is probably BALANCE :rotfl:

WaS, I hope you will progress from trying to light e-cigs to having real cigarettes and forgetting to light them :D (except that I suppose it might mess up your cocktail of meds :( ) Very glad they are suiting you, anyway.

Mr JM used to have labradors before he met me (yes, I'm just a dog replacement :D). One of them absolutely LOVED wearing antlers!

Steff liked hats, she'd just lie down and go to sleep wearing them

WaS, I am so impressed that you turned a tragedy into a triumph and have only had the e-cigarette.

Are you going to keep a record of it all to see how it affects you and your other symptoms to discuss with the GP/psychiatrist.

LIR, re your penguin. I wouldn't worry. People will probably wash it off anyway and they won't eat the whole lot in one go. The effect will probably be negligible in amongst everything else they eat. If you are still concerned you could fix a note to the gate. They may disregard it anyway.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

I'm a bad owner who traumatises dogs at Christmas.
I did a series of cards over the years - mutt as santa, mutt as a reindeer, mutt as an elf, mutt as a christmas fairy (complete with wings and deelyboppers), mutt as snowman, mutt complete with hat, scarf and earmuffs and the final one - mutt dressed as a very sad and p1ssed off Christmas pudding.
It got to the stage where she'd leg it when she saw the camera.
Somehow I don't think Gitdog would be as tolerant. Although never say never......
