We put mama Hetty and baby Hetty next to each other, and waited to see how long it would take for DD to notice (about 3 seconds). She had a grin on her face 20 miles wide. She is so happy with her new toy. She has been playing with it all evening. I think she's vacuuming the bedrooms now!
thats lovely to hear. Does she want to come here next? The toy one is sooo cute if only dd would like hers!Make £10 a day challenge November £125.60/310

Ha ha ha. Maybe for Christmas. No, I hadn't seen it before (not being a houseworky type person!). DD loves pink.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Forum Etiquette
The MoneySavingExpert.com forum is a place to share info and tips with others, discuss MoneySaving and pick up ways to save. We hope you'll enjoy it, but ask you to remember it's a broad church with many different types of people. Follow these basic rules to make it a good place to be.
Please be nice to all MoneySavers : There's no such thing as a stupid question and, even if you disagree, courtesy helps.
Please be sensitive : This may be a web forum, but you're still talking to other human beings. Repeatedly or harshly saying someone's wrong, especially on boards like DebtFreeWannabe, Bankruptcy or Benefits, can lead to upset.
We're proud that many people whose financial problems exacerbate mental health issues seek help in the forum, but this means you may be berating someone who's clinically depressed. Please think twice before posting judgmental comments.
Don't feed the trolls : Sadly the web has a habit of throwing up a very small but vocal number of trolls, people who are nasty or contrary just to get a rise out of you. If someone's doing this, simply don't reply, just report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com. If you get involved and fling mud back, you risk being barred from using the forum too.
Take care over copyright : Use excerpts and links rather than copying long text. This site asserts copyright on all comments posted on the board......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Re posted thread etiquette - every 10+ pages or so, depending on whether my fish pie is getting cold or not!.........:starmod:......................................................................:starmod:.....................
Here is the suggested THREAD ETIQUETTE. By following this etiquette, all posters, whether new or existing, will feel safe, unpressured and respected..
- This is a thread for support. We have discovered some good friends on here, but we promise always to welcome and include new people, and not to be cliquey.
- People may make suggestions to help each other, and might even ask if the suggestions were helpful or have been carried out, but we'll really try not to nag each other or put too much pressure on.
- The normal board rules about sexism, racism, homophobia etc. apply, but if we are careful we should be able to discuss almost anything without breaching board rules - so far we have discussed subjects ranging from child abuse to incontinence!
-If someone thinks that too much pressure is being applied, they can post the trigger word PENGUIN and flag up the fact that they believe there's a potential for someone feeling too nagged to do something. ANYONE could post PENGUIN if they felt there was a danger that suggestions were being enforced too much.
- If you think something might be a PENGUIN, please post something like the green bit which follows.
"I would like to discuss something to do with [insert subject here], but I am concerned that this might be a trigger for some people. Is everyone OK if I post about that?"
Then LEAVE IT for at least an hour to allow people to respond. Then, when you post, repost the word PENGUIN above the discussion. Then post the penguiny bit in white! And the phrase END OF PENGUIN when you have finished.
It will look like this. You will be able to see the white text if you highlight it or if you quote it (so please don't quote a penguin!)
PENGUIN
This is a penguin. A nasty, crotch biting penguin (CBT).
It isn't really, you can look.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozGTv0hxhpc[/url]
END OF PENGUIN
IMPORTANT: It has been ascertained that some posters to this thread have found that there are certain subjects which act as triggers, precipitating a worsening of their condition.
To protect these posters, you are respectfully requested NOT to discuss these subjects on this thread:-
Religion. (Please note: it is recognised that everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and we respect those beliefs. It is only because of the fact that religion does act as a trigger for some posters, that we exclude it from discussion.)
The afterlife. The reason for this is explained in this thread by one poster, and there will be others for whom this is a trigger.
We ask and thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
.........:starmod:.....................................................................:starmod:................
- More suggestions please.............We stress that we are suggesting that we AGREE some Thread Etiquette to HELP people who might feel anxious about posting, we are not trying to IMPOSE rules, just relating this to facilitating groups, so that people feel safe and able to participate as fully as they can.
t should be pointed out that if anyone is feeling very distressed or close to a crisis, they do not have to worry about what they are posting, or whether it is a penguin for someone else or not. In a crisis situation, just post! We wouldn't want anyone to feel that they couldn't ask for help in case it's a penguin! The penguin thing only applies to a general discussion situation.(I just lurve spiders!)

Whilst I appreciate the intention of devising etiquette for a particular thread, I do feel something of this nature designed by a poster, or a group of posters, may be off putting to new or old members.
Perhaps the title Thread Etiquette could be changed to Thread Tips?
I don't want to rock the boat, but if every thread carried it's own "instructions" for etiquette, mayhem would ensue......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I don't mind what the guidelines are called as long as everyone feels welcome to post! Obviously they aren't forum rules as such because MSE has its own rules, more of things-to-respect-that-might-upset-others-and-help-to-keep-the-thread-safe-and-friendly-for-everyone. For the love of all things shiny don't it call that though! I honestly don't mind, whatever everyone is happy with is fine with me!
So glad that your DD loves the Hetty, whitewing! I must confess I kind of want one myself to clean my keyboard with (and play with, shhhh!)
PS. Anyone who uses Approved Food, they have lots of new things in! Including the yummy brownies which I can now mention as I have already bought some!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
