Hahahahaha! No don't, SDW! The people there are very emergency-minded and buy lots to prepare, you could end up with a house full of odd things!

Many of which will be of no use whatsoever, ever :D

I think I'll draw the line at a lead-lined bunker, my own generator, a DIY well-drilling kit, and 10,000 packets of vegetable seeds!

An earth closet might be good though! :D;)

We had a super thread on the debate board too, ( I was absent in its creation but it was funny and touching, though it might be you have to 'know' some of the characters to get the full value from it.

We tend to keep Upto about a month's worth of food in,especially in winter, mainly in case I couldn't drive or something, though we live less remotely that we did, though, its really incredible how much space some people devote to this. I suppose with big families a lot of food needs a lot more room. Also, we never need to keep milk and stuff, in really, really awful weather milk is one thing we'd have in abundance as if the milk vans cannot collect from dairy farms they still need to milk the cows. Tbh, we'd be living of milk. Tough on those of us who are lactose intolerant, lol.

Some of the people on that thread have their own generator, Pyxis!

I have about 2 weeks worth of tins which will make meals. That is actually practical for me because if WaSp couldn't get here for a prolonged period I would be without food as I can't even collect it from the door. Actually, perhaps a month would be better, I need to do some shopping!

Hello, Duke! I hope you and Harry are ok!

Yeah, but if there's a prolonged water cut-off, or the sewerage pumps stop working...................................

An earth closet would then be heaven on earth! :A (Pun intended!):D

Just thought I'd say that I'm scared of old furniture, been looking at the pianos :o Sorry. Don't know why as we had one when I was a kid. Mr Duke's piano went on to become famous. He now has a piano size keyboard :( Useless info really.
