    Was

By not making people rely on using Public resource or charitable fund for that more money is available to help others. Through giving or social fund. Vicariously your private work could have resulted in more charitable donation for mental health, cancer or whatever, or practically, more funding in limited mental health budgets.
  • That is a very good point and one I hadn't thought of, LIR! Ok, that makes me feel a little better, even now years later I cringe. That is a really good way to look at it and it did work for the couple which I am so pleased about. If they still had problems afterwards I might have jumped off the nearest cliff!

Malt = salt (9) - have you overshot the target, now?

Sorry, I have been lurking due to pressure of work! I have been skim reading, but not posting! Now I'm sad if I've missed out on the word games :( :rotfl:

ETA - ooooo! Just re-read and you needed 9! :D

Hello, idea! Welcome to the thread!

Boring news from my life - did I say I managed to find a couple of pairs of REALLY cheap fit flops? I've been wearing them while my feet heal up from that disaster a couple of weeks ago. (How are your feet, haybel and WaS?)

    I love

  • Thank you and hello, JM! We got to 9, I can send on the email! I am ridiculously excited to be able to take part in a silly game that others probably don't think twice about. It isn't often that I get to join in with something involving social interaction.

It is the little things like that, that mean the world to me. Thank you so much everyone!

So is it the last word you send back, or all of them? And what do we do? Pass on the word we changed, or the original one, or the last one?
Just been to AmDram and head now a bit mushed!

  • Well, I don't know about the others, but I can guess. I really love shared word games and silly things like this. I used to play scrabble on FB a lot (but haven't recently) - it's great fun doing that with friends! :D

I send back all of the words to my teacher friends wife and then send them onto my friend in America for her to carry it on! I also write which country it originated in so that the list grows of words from around the world.

If anyone here wishes to do it start from your word and get 9 friends to make new words as we have here then send it on to a new person, preferably in a different city or country so that it carries on travelling. It is also a little experiment to see if a version ever makes it back to you, possibly with some words from other countries on it.

On the subject of AmDram my teacher friend and wife are about to perform a 5 minute example of the Mystery Plays with 15 other people for Charles and Camilla on Friday. I have told him to tell me what they're like!
