Just needed to be heard for a little while

I sometimes go away with an orchestra where we have a tradition of skinny dipping*. It's lovely - people are so kind and really check out with each other that everyone is comfortable before we all strip off. The result of this is that THERE IS A NAKED PICTURE OF ME ON THE INTERNET! Here it is....

Skinny dipping is fantastic.

Whitewing, fir and I are 'clothes optional' people. With one of my parents living with us obviously we have to be more courteous and considerate now, but we are relaxed about clothing, and again that's weird with how I feel about myself. With fir I have no embarrassment or self consciousness because I feel truly accepted by him for me. I would be less comfortable if we had mirrors about!

I don't mind being nude in front of DH. He is enthusiastic whatever I look like. I don't think the rest of the world is ready for me outside yet!

Good evening all!

My nice thing is I just woke up from a nap and I had no intrusive thoughts before and no bad dreams during it! This is very unusual and I feel all warm, cosy and refreshed. Now I coffee and the last of the cupcakes (yes, WaSp and I ate 12 in 3 days, oops).

I, too have been naked once outside, but only once. I had thick woods near to where I used to live and one summers night I couldn't sleep because it was so hot so WaSp and I went deep into the woods and sat talking all night with a bottle or two of wine. When they sun came up there was a very light rain which you all know I love so I stripped off all of my clothes (did I mention drinking wine?) and sat with the warm sun and rain on my skin at 5am with a glass of wine looking at all the wildlife waking up (there were bunnies!). It was wonderful.

The downside to living in a shared house is I can't really walk around nude

I admit I did it in my old flat though, it's quite liberating and makes me feel a hot better about my body

Skinny dipping would be good. I'd never be able to, though, not unless I had my own private pool or beach in the middle of nowhere!

As for naked sun-bathing.....years ago, when I was a twenty-something, I shared a flat in quite a tall block. One day, the girl I shared with and I found the stairs leading to the roof, and decided to go up, and sunbathe topless, as it wasn't overlooked. I was very nervous about this, as I was very self-conscious, but I was very relaxed with my flatmate, so after a lot of umming and ahing, I decided to go for it, as only my flatmate would see me.

So there we were, sunning ourselves, when after only about 10 minutes, we heard the buzz of a helicopter. And again. And again. No, we thought, it can't be! Back to sunbathing. Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. It became obvious it was circling to get an eyeful. Honestly, I ask you!
We gave up, and went back in. Thank you, helicopter people, because I never dared risk anything like that again, and went back to represseddom!

I am also clothes optional indoors, too. WaSp less so mainly because his computer chair is by a window. Clothes can feel very restricting to me especially when psychotic, necklines in particular feel like they are strangling me and I have been known to panic and literally rip them because I can't breathe. So a lot of the time no clothes, or one of my long, loose and flowing kaftan's or silk nightdresses (which I happen to be wearing now, this one has a low neckline and side split too, yay room to move!) are much better options.

I don't think I'm a naked sunbathing type of person. It's not so much that I'd feel embarrassed, more the practicalities. I'd be worrying about sunburned nipples, or sand getting in the wrong places, or something like that.
Skinny dipping does sound good (only in warmer climes, JM is clearly either bonkers or a far hardier soul than me ) but the attire would have to go straight back on again afterwards.
