Hello Duke! I hope Harry is doing better today.
Thanks WaS, he's at my Mom's today. We were at Lidl & he said he didn't want to do anything else, so we went back to mine & he sat with his head in his hands for the next 7 hoursHe'd been doing so well too. I didn't know whether to talk to distract him or to be quiet, he told me to be quiet so I did. Harry says he has to listen to the voices in case they're coming for him, or they can hear what he's saying. Why do you like the quiet WaS? Thanks so much for asking, it's very kind of you.

Its a very lucky purchase. They are luxury beds that have memory foam in them and sell for hundreds. I've bought one before and they love them. I got them less than half price because they have someone else's name embroidered on them......but even clever dog dog cannot read :rotfl:
They will some times share beds. But kiwi often opts to sleep in a crate, ( he is the only one who had any crate training) and big dog is quite space defensive so she is less likely to share.
Big dog doesn't like to be upstairs, but both kiwi and dog dog do. Atm we do not encourage it unless there is specific reason to. ( e.g. Of one of them is unwell, or upset.) because we do not want big dog to feel different to them or left out. but big dog is very old. At some point soon we will be a two dog family and we are considering at that point taking a big bed upstairs and seeing if the two would like to share a bed in our bedroom. It depends mostly on the kiwi, whether he would settle. We know dog dog would. She was our only dog for a while, and slept with us and the cats every night, and we miss her.
Edit ,Duke
I just tried it, its really, really comfy, so comfortable in fact I now need a nap.0 -
It would be lovely if they would sleep in your room, but I do agree with not encouraging right now so that big dog doesn't feel left out. I forget that you have cats, too! Do they all get on?
Aw, poor Harry, Duke. I sit in silence most of the time but it is even more important when I am psychotic. Sounds become much louder including the voices and if there is any other noise they will shout over them which is unbearable. Also, any noise distorts and develops an echo and repeats itself. For example if I hear music I will then hear it repeatedly over and over afterwards long after it has been turned off. I can't bear any sounds at all while psychotic and even when I am not everything sounds far louder to me than it actually is. WaSp tends to speak softly most of the time as I am prone to accuse the poor man of shouting if he talks in a normal voice!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

was dog dog and the cats, and kiwi and the cats are fine.
Big dog pretends to be good with the cats but she has chased Mauve Squeaker a few times, and their is no trust in the relationship from either Mauve Squeaker or us. The cats don't lets the dogs intimidate them when we are there, but mauve squeaker won't be near big dog by herself ( with no person there) and I have to agree with her. Pink whistley and mauve squeaker don't admit to her it but they are find of dog dog, and lick her when she is asleep. Kiwi they don't mind at all and he tends to be quite respectful towards them. He can't. quite get why they won't play, but he just asks them gently occasionally, not roughly, and they don't quite get why he is so......doggy. But both cats will snuggle up with him on my lap.0 -
Lir, I think you've got the animal version of the Waltons.
I've not managed to sleep yet but have given the living room a good clean and tidy, at least I did till I ran out of steam but it's looking a lot better.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140
