    Hey guys,

Just been catching up - had a rather hectic day.

I love the rules and the idea of a trigger word- penguins. I will admit if I am being completely honest that there have been a couple of occasions where I would possibly have used it had it already been in place (I have hesitated long and hard before saying that as I know without a shadow of a doubt that everyone here means so well and are very fond of each other but I wanted to be honest) - however I can also honestly say that I think we have an absolutely wonderful thread with equally wonderful posters and long may it continue.

Really worried about being so honest please don't beat me to a pulp- do think you are all truly fantastic...

Does anyone else like playing with words as much as I do, I wonder? The word netiquette already exists, I know.

    no-threatitquette
    no-sweatiquette

And of course, Sir Pugliet has instinctive petiquette! (or puglietiquette) ;)

(And on the match betting board they have betiquette. It's just that I haven't told them yet :D)

I'd like to ask a penguin unrelated question, while I think about it, if I may? Just that now I've join the ranks of the unemployed with lots of time on my hands, I've been thinking about how I fill my time.

On days when the weather is bad, or I can't get out because I'm waiting in for someone/something, I'm climbing the walls. And it's only because I know I can't - if I want to stay in and veg out with a book I'm quite happy to do that, it's when circumstances prevent this I get frustrated. (Same when I was on a cruise boat, because I couldn't get off I resorted to doing laps of the deck instead.)
And it got me wondering what people whose lives are circumscribed by illness do - if you can't read, watch tv, get out and about ( I'm thinking of WaS here again at the moment), how do you stave off boredom and frustration? Or is it that concentrating on keeping on an even keel takes up the surplus energy? Hope you don't mind me asking but I know how hard I'd find it to be indoors all the time without losing the plot so I'm wondering how others cope.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Obviously I'm not WaS, but I a. Stuck at home a lot.

I have far fewer restrictions. Tv is ok, radio, books. Mse,:D

    I sleep, a lot.

On better days my dogs get more exercise that bad days ( I'm super lucky that we have land, I can take mine out side and they run their little hearts out with out me if they have to) . ATM I think if I manage four sort of active days a week I'm doing ok.

ATM I should really me tackling things like our equivalent of the cupboard of doom but its not only my stuff and I feel I cannot make decisions for fir's stuff.

Today has been a sleep day. Right now I'm still flat on a sofa with kiwi on my hip, dog dog on my legs and big dog next to us on the floor. We'll go out soon and put birds away, check horses, the dogs will have another run.

If you're a marmosetiquette, you won't forgetiquette how your ancestor the yetiquette lived in Tibetiquette. You won't getiquette upsetiquette if the vetiquette houses you with a pigletiquette.
Please don't fretiquette over this epithetiquette! At least it's not the thread of debtiquette!

That's the one that JM calls the pervy hug. There doesn't seem to be a hug emoticon on MSE I stick with the ((())) as they aren't quite as pervy!

Pyxis you are bonkers - I love it! :j

The amendments to the first page and the etiquette post and the introduction of penguins is spot on, hopefully will make the thread even more inclusive for all.

    :hello: to adindas.

Natural World did a fab documentary on penguins a couple of weeks ago on the Beeb if you missed it might be worth looking to see if its still on playback - The Penguin Post office! I am a massive penguin fan - JM your story made me giggle!

Had to introduce this little fella!

My darling DH has this problem. He can't walk far, can't read (because of nystagmus) and doesn't have proper power in his arms (one doesn't work at all). He does a lot of research on tinternet for as long as his eyes work, watches TV and sleeps. And gets depressed sometimes, understandably :(

More positively, have you thought about research or (yet) further education? Or if you also want money, teach yourself match betting!
