One of my medications is hardly ever in stock and they have to order it in, LIR. It usually turns up after the last months dose was due to run out so the extra has saved me a few times. I know that you aren't supposed to keep extra but I am still hanging onto mine. Withdrawal is too much of a risk for me.
Yep, one if mine is ordered in for me. Another I've gone onto a more common version of, but we're not sure it will suit. Well, we know it won't but, not doing it might be worse, and so I've had to agree.0 -
I generally try to thank people because I consider it courteous and it helps me keep track of what I've read. An alternative would be good JM. Particularly with such lovely people who put thought and share insightful experiences and ideas. Don't take offence if I haven't as I do miss some and I don't expect to be thanked!

I think if I ever got to your house LIR, then I would move in permanently. I love everything you post about it all.
I rarely thank people because for years I haven't been able to for some reason. Now I am on the test sytem I can and it will update but I am so out of the habit I never think of it. I agree with LIR about some of the downsides of it.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Well done on the Cupboard of Doom - we'll have to think of a new name for it soon. Cupboard of Bloom perhaps.
Or Cupboard of New Broom.
Or Cupboard of (lots of ) Room!
Or Cupboard of Va-va-vroom!(I just lurve spiders!)

WaS, can I ask exactly why you don't like people looking at you? As many reasons as you can brainstorm.
(I can remember around the time I went off to uni, there was an article in the paper that said that bouncers weren't letting ugly people into nightclubs. I was convinced that I would be refused entry if I ever went near one. there were other reasons too.):heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. jobbingmusician wrote: »BTW folks, I have been reading, although v short of time. But I have completely lost the plot on using the 'thanks' button. Half of me thinks every post on here is excellent and deserves to be thanked, and the other half thinks I should save my thanks, as there isn't a ':heart2:' button. Views please?
Well, this is the only thread where I thank every post. The reason is that everyone on here is lovely, and their posts are helpful/useful/empathic/funny/encouraging/supportive/morale-boosting et al. and so deserve to be thanked!
Apart from that, a 'thanks' acknowledges that the post has been read, and that's an especial boost of confidence for lurkers who decide to do a first or rare post.
A 'thanks' can also mean: thanks for the info/thanks for taking the trouble to say that/ I found that funny!/I agree with what you say/I appreciate your point of view even though I'm about to disagree/I'm here listening but I'm not up to joining in at the moment/I'm on your side/I'm sorry to hear that/thanks for sharing that with me/I really like this thread/you're not alone/..................and probably several more.
I can't think of anything negative about the thanks button.
It's also a way of feeling part of the group. If I come back to a thread after a few hours, say, and find that a previous post of mine has had some thanks, it's really nice! It makes you feel you belong to a little community. It's not a cliquey thing, because newcomers are always welcome, but I suppose it's a Team WaS thing! Looking out for each other, I suppose!
Hope that makes sense! I'm feeling a ramble starting, so I'll leave it there!(I just lurve spiders!)

This seems to be a very good article about the biological basis of anxiety disorders. A lot seems very familiar to me - I wish I'd known this when I was a teenager:

Just thought, if you find a Kilner jar in one of the boxes under the bed, you can give it to Sir Pugliet to sit in (empty!) , as his own personal conservatory!
