BTW folks, I have been reading, although v short of time. But I have completely lost the plot on using the 'thanks' button. Half of me thinks every post on here is excellent and deserves to be thanked, and the other half thinks I should save my thanks, as there isn't a ':heart2:' button. Views please?Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

I try to thank most things but I do fail at times, JM. It all depends how distracted and 'here' I am.
I don't mind either way in the case of my posts although I do check the thanks simply so I can be sure that any missing people are still here, even if they aren't up to posting. I have become attached to everyone and I worry when people disappear.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

No pm, yet LIR! Don't worry if you are tired, later is fine unless it's urgent.
I am happy with his choices! He is delighted about the cards and cheque books as they have been living on his computer desk and I wouldn't let him throw them away!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I am pleased about the medication. I have a few of my old antidepressants left and I was tempted to keep them 'just in case' (not for self harm, just in case all the GPs and all the chemists and drug manufacturers went on prolonged strike at the same time and I ran out of new medication)...:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

I am an over thanker.
In one sense I argue that the thanks button is actually a negative feature of Mse, causing strange little rows on the more contentious threads/ boards. On the other, it makes a super book mark. Because of memory issues / brain ones if I haven't thanked something it quite often means I cannot take it in and I realise it, occasionally I might go back and rectify, more often I'll try and pick things up on the fly.
It also gets knocks easily with a thumb scrolling, like the spam button etc when scrolling down.
In debate, one thanks those one discusses with, so I consider it polite when perhaps furthering a point or drawing one out or politely disagreeing to show respect by thanking. I also think a thank can be a smile of 'hey,' for some one you think its having a grim day, or a virtual version of holding the door open for them, or just not letting it slam in their face.
I don't take it personally whether I am thanked or not, and i do hold it often does more harm than good, but........while its here, I use it for all its worth really.0 -
I had all sorts left over. Anti-depressants than never worked properly, the anti-psychotics that made me incontinent and weak anti-acids to name three. I will never use any again so back to the chemist they go.
I have one months spare medication slowly gathered from putting my prescription in earlier for a few months. My GP knows that I have it and understands why. If my partner couldn't get my medication going out to get it on my own would be out of the question and having it delivered won't work either because I don't answer the door. I need this because 3 of medications cause withdrawal very quickly if I miss doses and as the anti-psychotic is one of them I really don't want to contemplate the consequences.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Because of my memory problems mine come in blister packets divided into each time of day I am meant to take them.
This is ok, until I forget to take them at all. Or check the date on the box when a prescription is sliding up/ down.
My pharmacist is brilliant. She tells me she wants me to keep at least week in reserve, but healthily.
Sadly I have more than a week of drugs since prescription changed most recently. Its really tempting to hang on to them as there have been numerous problems with the delivery service from the chemist ( where the great pharmacist is) and I'd have most of what I needed.0 -

Just to let you all know - I am going away for 10 days tomorrow. Should still have some limited access to emails, but nothing guaranteed. Then I am back for about 4 days - then the same thing all over again! (Playing loads of music)
Off on a thanking spree now:D:D

Have a wonderful time, JM! You will be missed!
One of my medications is hardly ever in stock and they have to order it in, LIR. It usually turns up after the last months dose was due to run out so the extra has saved me a few times. I know that you aren't supposed to keep extra but I am still hanging onto mine.
