I struggled to get to sleep last night. In the end, I just sprinkled some water from a glass over me a few times. Water requires a lot of heat energy to vapourise. I fell asleep quite suddenly and once asleep have slept without interruption.

Today's task, WaS, when you have finished the second shelf, is to ask your DP to pick three items from your flat to pass on or recycle. This is a 'trust' exercise - you need to trust that he knows you well enough to pick things that won't upset you.

ETA: I love children for making you think about all the things you take for granted. DD just asked, how do they put handles on mugs?

Is there a pottery locally that you could visit? They can demonstrate how you do it! Even a small studio pottery might have open days, or even just be willing to show you!

Many a slip between cup and ....handle. (Pottery joke!)

(They make the cup and handle separately, out of clay. The handle is 'glued' on with very dilute clay, called slip.)
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

Found this. It demonstrates it nicely! She can watch the whole mug being made!

Hi, just charging through after catching up on my comps, have a few more bits to sort then I'll be back. Hope everyone's well. I'm fine thanks for asking, Harry's got his meds changed too, so all good! :D

Good news about Harry, let's hope that he settles down now.

My smear test results are back already and they are normal, so that is great. I am really glad I had it done now.

    How are you, WaS?

Thank you for the ideas/clips about mugs. She has been out playing in the sunshine and is now in that overheated/overtired mood so we will look at them later.

    Morning!

Dibuzz, do tell your GP about your back tomorrow. As others have said when you aren;t sleeping enough it can cause physical problems, too. Get it checked out.

    Great news on Harry, Duke

Well done on the smear test, whitewing! Bet you are relieved!

As for me, my turn with no sleep due to cramps half the night! Nothing odd, just time of the month stuff.

Ok from the cupboard of doom-

    23 old bills from 2006!

    2 decorative tins

17 pill containers, all empty (why?)

    8 empty pill packets (again...?)

    2 broken chains

    A bracelet

    A broken lighter

3 pencils in a packet, never been used (I have a drawer of pencils)

I have asked my partner to choose 3 things. Him being him, the first thing he picked up was my chocolate supply. He's mean like that. After being sworn at he is now going to pick 3 serious things.

ETA- He pickled pugliet! Someone yell at him for me! (he has promised to do this seriously, he is just enjoying being annoying).

Tee hee!! :rotfl: I have visions of Pugliet in a Kilner jar with dill and mustard seed, being covered with vinegar!

Nooooooo! Don't do it Mr. WaS! :rotfl:

Tell him it is extremely dangerous to take chocolate from a woman on her period!

Well done on the Cupboard of Doom - we'll have to think of a new name for it soon. Cupboard of Bloom perhaps.
