    Much better than our radio:

    http://www.globalbreakfastradio.com/

Well, that is until it gets to breakfast-time here and features our own stations, just avoid listening to at UK breakfast-time:rotfl: . Isn't UK/USA pop music (post-1998) so boring? (I recall the last time I tried to listen to our charts, way back in 1999:rotfl:, and started looking around as just couldn't stand them by then. I came across the German charts instead, which were perfectly fine except for only the one song that also featured in the UK charts and rubbish on that and that alone. IMO of course:rotfl:.)

Although... that map of the world shown at the link seems to reflect the view of the UK/the US/"the West"/the vast majority of the members of the United Nations or "international community" as to where the boundaries of the states of the world are. For example, it does not show Somalialand, whose administration says it is an independent state but which is unrecognised by anywhere else. The international community' regarding it as an autonomous region of Somalia. I can announce that this is a new 'special subject' of mine that's just started - disputed territories, inspired by Russia's claim to Crimea, by Google maps in India and China depicting Arunachal Pradesh according to the laws applicable to local servers, thought of the current situation in Iraq (assuming that parts of it are still Iraq in accordance with 'the international community', whilst siding myself with no side at all and remaining completely neutral*) and by my thought of an attempt to create a map of Somalia, showing everyone's view and neither accepting nor rejecting any viewpoint. (Or maybe that should be Somalia and Somalialand. Or maybe not Somalia and Somalialand, but Somalia and that part of Somalialand that is outside of the territorial claims of another administration within the area that the 'international community' defines as Somalia plus maybe that other administration itself if claimed by some as independent. I think I need to examine what the claims of every one of the different administrations are first:o:o.) For example, this place:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanaag

The districts of which are different depending on the views of different administrations (or , maybe, independent states depending on whose view we are accepting). And yet "Khatumo State" lays claim to the southern part of the region of Sanaag so, presumably, the northern part is somewhere else and isn't Sanaag at all or has a different conception of the territorial extent of Sanaag to which is claimed and different names etc. The regions are not the same in different views and different districts that overlap or go into areas that are different under other views. So fascinating and so complex as to be an immediate attraction for me. Of course, all without any underlying knowledge or any evidence of any knowledge on my part in the causes of civil wars or any wider context. I don't need to have that: it's just simple and straight territorial claims on a map. (Complex series of different claims on top of one another, and depicting them all, is straightforward to me. For me the "complex" is simple and straightforward. Straightforward like the value of Pi to 50 decimal places:rotfl::D. That is straightforward - it may not be to you etc., but is to me.)

I'm also interested in the concept of 'governments in exile'. Bearing in mind the Privy Council of England (not to be confused with the current Privy Council) was a former government in exile during the period following the execution of Charles I that we have since come to know as the interregnum.

*But how can you remain 'neutral' with extremists? In any event I'll link to this:

Completely random question tbw, but how tall are you?!
I only ask as I was looking at your signature with your weight loss and I started at 11st 2lbs as well.

5'4 if I stretch! My weight has gone down a bit more - largely due to a very unpleasant 48 hour bug that I picked up last week. Nothing like having your head down the toilet every half hour all through the night from 11,30 pm till the next morning for losing weight. I spent the next day in bed, very wobbly. Unfortunately I staggered to the bathroom for a widdle, flaked out while sitting on the loo and fell off. I managed to pull myself up but then passed out again and fell back - knocking one of the shower doors clean off its runners ! One of the runners sheered off and getting replacements is a problem.

Bet you are sorry you asked now - getting my tale of wo !

The diet certainly seems to have worked well for us both - are you having any trouble keeping the weight down ? Apart from my recent upset, I find that I still need a fast day every 3/4 days to keep my weight from going back up especially if I don't cut right back on carbs on my normal days.

Happy fathers Day to all the Dads

Our trip to Knowsley Safari Park was a bit of a fail yesterday. Broke down at Cheshire Oaks, and by the time the wonderful AA man had fixed the fan belt, it was too late to go to the Park.

Ended up just taking DM for a very un-MSE meal at local Hungry Horse and then turning round to drive all the way back to Brum!!!!

Got a few bargains at Cheshire Oaks to compensate.

DH couldn't understand why I was so restrained, but we have had a letter from Tax Credits. (I hid it from DH as didn't want to spoil Fathers Day Weekend). This is the end of a long dispute, but looks like we will have to repay thousands. (My dispute being that I agree we owe them money, but I think their calculation is wrong). Unfortunately, I cannot convince them to recalculate. We have not had all that money, but they have all the power, so we just have to pay.

    Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Meanwhile, better get Ebaying.

She had unscrewed the bit where the plug goes and pushed and prodded from that end, when she went to screw it back on again she said the pipe seemed to have dropped and it would not screw back in properly but it was ok as it was draining now. :rotfl:

Obviously there was now a gap for the water to flow through, even I figured that. ;)

I told her she needed to hold the pipe from underneath so both bits met and screw it back in and then lots of boiling water and soda crystals.

    Morning all
Oops I also did that a few months ago TS
Didn't realise I had done wrong until oh told me lol
