DD2 phoned earlier, she has slugs in her uni house.

They had been over her clothes pile and got in her wardrobe in her shoes. :(

She can't find out where they are coming in from though. She follows the trails and they come to a dead end. :(

So if anyone has any tips on getting rid of them would be grateful. She said they are getting in the lounge too. Just thought they do have a cellar, wonder if they are coming up from there.

Yes more than likely they are coming up from the cellar :( they are quite ingenious and very sneaky! a it might be an idea for her to scatter slug pellets in the cellar?

Oh I do hate them

I will mention it tomorrow, only just thought about it myself. You would think with the four brains in the house, all medics, one of of them would have. :rotfl:

Can't be nice for her. :(

Hate to say it, but sometimes academics lack common sense. Bloke I worked with (bless, he is retired now, funniest man I know!) He bought a brand new car for his son, who was a trainee doctor. The doctor was driving to work with another 3 doctors in the car, they got a flat. Managed to change the tyre, but had left the brand new alloy wheel and tyre by the road side, as they though that it was broken, and no good any more.

They often do :o, DD2 thought she would have a go and unblocking the bath as it had not been draining properly.

She phoned all excited to say she had fixed it, when she explained what she did it got me thinking, I said, you are sure it is not just now all draining under the bath.

Suggested she take the bath panel off to check and guess what that is now where the water was going.

Give her her due though she did all on her own eventually take all the plumbing apart and clear the gunk that was blocking it without any help from the three lads she shares with. :T

    That's my girl. :D

She had unscrewed the bit where the plug goes and pushed and prodded from that end, when she went to screw it back on again she said the pipe seemed to have dropped and it would not screw back in properly but it was ok as it was draining now. :rotfl:

Obviously there was now a gap for the water to flow through, even I figured that. ;)

I told her she needed to hold the pipe from underneath so both bits met and screw it back in and then lots of boiling water and soda crystals.

:rotfl: I thought something like that must have happened, so funny, bless her. As you said, least she was willing to give it a try..... but please, if I have to go to see her with a blockage ;) please remind me not to take her advice ;)

I am still amazed she managed to get it all back together on her own, even I sometime have to hold pipes for Mr TS. :rotfl:

I will warn you when she is on her first GP placement, though think you are safe that she is far enough away. ;)
