David Cameron and Nick Clegg went to the pub to show that they too were "one of the people" like their good pal Nige Farage...

Dave said "I'll have a diet coke as I'm driving, what would you like Nick?"

Nick replied "Gottle of Geer, Gottle of Geer, Gottle of Geer"

Also, it's a little known fact that heir ties represent their blood line which is why Conservatives have Blue ties for Blue blood which Lib Dems have Yellow but as their blood is so thin they went with the colour of their spine... ;)

I voted Lib Dem last time btw :(

Fuzzy, I'd not worry about it... Speak to SC but they'll likely just pay what they offered regardless and if they reject the money goes back to them and they make a double payment the next month, and so on. If it ever went any further then they'd look like right mugs since you've tried to give them money and they refused ;)

I broke my leg 14 months ago (doing nothing extravagant or dangerous other than walking barefoot across a flat surface and bending down to stroke a cat...300 miles from home)

It was 300 miles away? That's one hell of a reach you have there... You missed telling people that you were at home in the kitchen at the time :rotfl: you should seriously look into a basketball career or at least re-naming yourself to Mrs Tickle ;)

Bad news about the leg :( defo need to get it checked but maybe some antibiotics are all that's needed (I'm trying to think positive here :)) do you have one of those prepaid prescription certificates? I've just started an annual one have had 7 items already so it'll have paid for itself within the next month or two!

    Hello DMPers,

Two nights ago, I finally sat down and opened all the letters I had been burying for the past 4 months, and it wasn't pretty. I looked at MSE and then on to these forums, and was heartened by all that you had said - I contacted Step Change and am now starting the process of setting up my DMP - I switch between being extremely scared (will my family - parents, sister, brother - find out? will it affect my work? will i be told off- haha!) and being relieved and happy to be sorting it.

Based on the advice here, I have already started using a cashcard account that I had set up before, and have moved money from my current account into it.

My first step is to tackle the Liability Order that I have against my name - I have until midnight tonight to contact them and arrange. I've never done this before and am a bit nervous about it. Can anyone offer any advice? I am not able to make the full payment, but I can make part. I hope they will accept it.

Anyway, thanks again for your posts and for helping a scared person tackle a big problem!

    Hi Dallas,

    Welcome to the club!

I can't help re. the liability order (I don't even know what that is so I'll need to Google ;)) but I'm sure someone can offer advice soon enough.

Everyone feels scared and anxious to begin with but you'll soon find out it's no big deal and in a month or so you'll be helping out newbies and joining the chat! So worry not ;)

Nobody will tell you off (well, someone might along the way but it's not worth listening to LOL) and normally it doesn't impact work and as to your family and friends finding out... That's at your discretion :) I told a couple of brothers near the start and recently my Mum but none of them could care less since I'm paying my debts and not doing anything illegal ;)

Thanks very much MB - it's great to have some reassurance, especially when I feel the need to have to put up a front around friends and family :)

    Welcome Dallas,

I have only told my brother and the lovely people on this thread. Nobody else needs to know.

I've just made my first payment towards my DMP (yesterday) and if there are any questions I need answers to or a bit of cheering up, I come here.

The peeps on here are wonderful :)

    Hi,

I am in the process of working out incoming and outgoings, have sent letters out to our LONG list of creditors (30 days breathing space). Some have replied, they have asked for a breakdown of our incoming and outgoings, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a generic SOA that is suitable for all our creditors. Also if anybody has come across a template letter that we can send along with this.

    All help appreciated.

    Cheers,

Either National Debtline website or CAB NED DMP website should have all you need.

    Hi dallas and welcome :hello:

I don't know anything about liability orders but would advise giving National Debtline a call and asking them for advice

Please stick around for the support, someone here will always try and help you.
