Pity it wasn't a gent on the phone, I might have been able to woo him......not.
Maybe she was just having an off day. It just sounded as if she couldn't believe that the end of the month is a bit of a horror story at the moment, never mind onwards and upwards.
Glad you're back MB x
Maybe I should call her and use my Simian charms on her?
"Hey there, my names Monkeyballs and it sounds like you're not having a grrrreat day? Fancy a bite of me Banana?"

Don't you ever leave this board for as long as you did (read your diary). Always leave me with a smile and you stop me worrying about everything.
I wonder if she would go for your banana? Should have taken her nameLBM 2 June 20140 -
I've never had anyone refuse my Banana before... But there's (possibly) always a first time? (but I doubt it).

DMP, does it really stand for Debt Management Plan or could it be one of;
1. Diamond of Massive Proportions
2. Diversified Man of Proportions (ooer)
3. Digitally Manipulated Poppadoms (double ooer)
4. Diddy Mr. Powerball
Or something else?

Within the last week we finally got to the bottom of a lengthy list of creditors (26 in total), all standing orders set up. What I can say is the relief that I felt on Friday when I had four to finish off, I decided on not sending ANOTHER letter, instead I phoned and in a strange sort of way it was quite a pleasant experience. So if anybody is worried about talking to your debtors (in my experience), there is no need to.
I did, however get a little upset when I spoke with Sainsbury's whilst setting up my DD they said the last payment will come out in 2027!
So here is my question what happens next, my accounts have already been terminated with some CC's, I have received some defaults and expect several more to follow in due course. Some CC's have frozen interest from between 3 months to twelve months. Some debts have already gone the DCA route, that of our Next account.
On the basis that Sainsburys don't think we will pay our debt off until 2027 (all our debts are pro-rata) on our present circumstances - (our circumstances will improve). What happens then, will our CC's be happy to get little amount a month for 14 years, I understand they will probably then sell it to a DCA, but will the DCA be happy to wait 13 years for it. I hope you understand where I am going with this?
On a further note, don't really want to go into reason why we attributed so much debt. But this time last year my wife and I didn't have CC between us and had no plans to get a CC. We then maxed out our Credit so our rating was shot, so going down this route (that believe me has made me so stressed that I felt like crashing my car into a wall, I lost about a stone in weight), is actually a pretty good option, as I can now sleep at night knowing that we are paying all creditors some money. And as I see it our credit rating was bad anyway, it has just got a little worse and we don't plan on getting anymore CC's or loans.
Sorry if that sounded like a waffle, but knocked a can of worms over...
As ever all thoughts appreciated.

We owe £8000 more than you, we have started at the same time (pretty much)!
Been in a very dark and horrible place for a long time. I now feel extremely positive and I have this forum to thank for that.
Best of luck.0 -
Can I ask what LBM stands for?

This thread gives advice, help and support to many of us and if it can put a smile on our faces too, so much the better.

Do you mind me asking how you are getting your debts down so quickly? You don't have to answer.
I ask the question, as it appears that you are hitting your debts one by one 'marbles'. I was under the impression that you had to treat each debt fairly?
