    DMP, does it really stand for Debt Management Plan or could it be one of;

    1. Diamond of Massive Proportions
    2. Diversified Man of Proportions (ooer)
    3. Digitally Manipulated Poppadoms (double ooer)
    4. Diddy Mr. Powerball

    Or something else?

Dippy moon pies....and I'm not even going toget into the banana stories:rotfl:

Yes I was also slightly smiley at Barclays latest fine... & Puzz I seem to get that letter every 6 months, I let SC know and ring BC and no one seems too bothered.

Interesting on the MBNA debts, I had 2, they defaulted and sold on the smaller one and haven't touched the larger one...dunno why ..not caused any issues for me though.

Fuzz, maybe the SC lady was having a bad day, or perhaps it was because it was so soon after the budget set up..I guess they don't want people to keep dropping payments too easily but maybe if you contact them on the on line contact form and explain again they will be more supportive ?

Off to bed, been a long, long day
Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

  • Morning all!

What a glorious day, I love the smell of drizzle in the morning...

Well, one day closer to my trip to Leeds to see a specialist about my back :) I'm starting to get a tiny bit nervous now (more about actually getting there as it will be the longest I've had to sit/travel since the end of last year) but I'l be glad to get it over and done with so I know where I stand :)

I've been trying to think up more interesting names for the acronym DMP... Obviously it has to be deeply meaningful (;)) maybe Dynamic Monkeyballs Peepshow?

Gotta go now, as I type my Banana is waving bye bye...

I can't believe it will be a year next month since I started my dmp... Can't wait to do my year end total as to how much debt I have shifted this year... (family loan not in dmp, but going down..)

Have a good day all, I'm off for a lie down as feeling a little poorly puzz today..

Satsuma's and banana's - you do make me smile MB!

Fuzz- I've reduced my payments twice in the last few months, same as you I was a bit ambitious and wanted to be fair to the creditors but wasn't being realistic so reduced it again. I hope that it doesn't cause any friction but they can't have what we haven't got.

Hope you feel better soon Puzz
  • has anyone reclaimed additions account fees from Barclays while on a DMP, bit worried about trying as I don't want to rock the boat. We were sold the account back in 1998 as they would not let us have an overdraft with it - and that was the start of the slippery slope into the land of living on borrowed money LOL

Have a look at the reclaiming charges board, loads of really knowledgeable people over there

You think you've got it bad, you don't have to live with the little blighters! Seven flats in my building, one of which is five rooms sharing a kitchen and bathroom and out of those seven, three have students in them. And yes, the five room one is students, so approx 10 students in the building althogether. And guess who's bedroom is directly above the five rooms' kitchen/living room? To be fair, I've only had one night so far when they came in at 12:30am and laughed and talked in the kitchen for the next two hours. If it happens again, I might have words. You do end up praying every Sept that you've got nice ones this year though.
