ebay unpaid item case opened against me

I had one like the op once except my auction specifically stated at bottom of listing, this is not for overseas delivery & this is postage only. After winning, the buyer then bombarded me with messages about how he lived 20 mins away blah blah, give me your address I'll pop round now (at 12 noon, uh dude, I'm at work), I started with polite, sorry I only want to post as am away alot to finally saying, pay for it or I will report you to ebay. Thankfully ebay don't give out sellers addresses cause this !!!! would have just rocked up at midnight or some other stupid time.
Some peoples arrogance is astounding, unless agreed before or unless stated on auction it is rude & presumptious to not just pay for what you won.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Have you read anything?
I made a perfectly reasonable and polite request, and stated multiple times on this thread that I would go with their reply when I received one. As it turns out the seller was incommunicado (as I suggested might be the case, but was shouted down), and the case was raised by an automated system without their action; they only replied after the case was closed. When they did reply, they said they would be happy for collection, and indeed they've now relisted the item, with "Free collection in person" as an option.
In contrast, in your example, you explicitly stated no collection, and the buyer wouldn't take no for an answer and got belligerent. That is a quite different circumstance.
So, the two cases were not the same.0 -
Oh prowla, why bother? If you know you're right, sod anyone who doubts. Admittedly I still think you went about it all wrong but this is all very tortuous now.*Look for advice, not 'advise'*

Posting an eBay ID on here (or any other information that would identify you) is against the forum rules.0

And in what way was that like my case?
And I have read the whole thing which is why I posted again.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

I've posted my ebay ID on MSE on this thread...who am I? It's a meaningless rule that Martin Lewis himself breaks...and he's an employee!0 -
that you & my buyer were both rude & presumptious & instead of agreeing all before hand to prevent drama & aggro for your buyer as any normal person would do you tried to "force" how you wanted the sale to go.
And I have read the whole thing which is why I posted again.
And when the seller did reply, though it was too late, they were perfectly happy (and said they were going to re-list it with a collection option, which they have).
If you want to try and equate that to the different case of someone who got upset with you because you replied to them and said no, then suit yourself.
However, of the three parties whose opinion is actually relevant (ie. the buyer, me, and ebay), none agree with you.0 -
