Yes, yes, yes .... keep looking, there must still be some way of finding a possible fault or a loophole, or even a typo so that everyone can get back up onto their high horse. The one that everyone fell off and hit the ground like a sack of spuds.

If the buyer, the seller, and ebay have no problem ... then ... umm ....
Lol makes me giggle,of course if someone fabricates something to make a point then ...ummmm

10 June ??:?? - case in ebay Resolution centre marked "Unpaid item case closed - record cleared".

Seller would be insane to allow you to repurchase after all this

I'd be happy to show you my ebay account if there was a secure method of doing it...

Do you ever use Webex or Lync?

(Of course, you would have to agree not to share any confidential information, such as my ebay account name, the seller's name, the specific transaction details, and so-on...)

All what? - all I did was send them a message saying "Hi, I'd like to collect it if that would be convenient?", and waited for a reply.

I've plainly stuck with the facts, despite the baying mob here demanding blood for something which didn't happen and is frankly none of their business.

My OP was a question about how to contact the seller, and I tried three methods of doing so (one suggested by one of the posters, but which met with a chorus of catawauling from a selection of the others).

The rest of the thread has just been an eye-opener as to the ability of mob rule by the self-proclaimed righteous to take precedence over reality.

Errr....why? The seller wants to sell, has finally managed to happily (for all parties) renegotiate the delivery options. Clearly the seller is a decent human being, accepts their own communication was at fault, the OP has clearly stated throughout that he had full intention to pay the full amount with postage when he managed to secure communication with the seller. Everybody with a direct involvement is happy, including eBay. Apart from the 'pack of wolves' on this thread, who are still baying for blood!

I just don't see how this thread is still 'trolling' away!? Have you not had enough blood yet? Perhaps you should all get out and explore the world and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. If you extract yourselves from your caves, you might actually find out that the world can be a nice place, populated by reasonable people who rely on old-fashioned common-sense and decency.

Just stop now! Enough is enough!

Isn't it time this thread was locked. OP has turned it into a farce.

I'm one who is by nature very much against the baying mob mentality - although clearly I'm part of the (e)baying mob on this thread.

I think what you, parity, OP and a couple of others are not getting, is the widespread incomprehension of OP's refusal to pay, instead constructing all sorts of assumptions about the seller and the situation.

I have just, once again, mentally imagined myself in OP's position, and taken myself through the steps of the situation as described by OP. There's more than of aspect that I still just don't get.

Several people expressed that they didn't get those things, OP kept reiterating the same things and so on . . and on . . and on.

Oh well, all been sorted now, apparently!

To be fair, I do think that OP has been very seemingly patient in his replies on here. Very tenacious, but generally polite about it.
There is, however, to the whole tale, a rather stubborn/obsessive overtone (takes one to know one ;-)) - that gives the impression that OP has rather skewed something along the line (in the ebay situation) - and this is what I believe people aka 'the mob' have been reacting to.

Now stay there on the couch 'til I write me notes up. :-D

Can you post me the quote where the OP said he refused to pay, please? I must have missed it.

    Thanks
