Well, there's no reason to assume that my word is bad, as I think I've replied to everything asked here (to the point that someone else called me obsessive - you just can't win sometimes!).

Yes, I never tried to force the seller to renegotiate; I simply asked if it would be convenient if I collected the item. I also cut & pasted the actual message I sent at post #236, and it's pretty open and friendly, I would say.

Anyway, it's done and dusted now; the case is closed and the strike is removed from my account.

    No doubt you can't see this but for everyone else;

    Don't believe you!

And you must be so proud of yourself for causing someone all that bother by winning an item and then not paying - great ebaying!

With any luck, you were buying car parts or something and I'll never have to deal with you trying to collect one of my clearout items.

    Hi, (un)reason.

I looked up a definition of "chancer", and found the following:
an unscrupulous or dishonest opportunist who is prepared to try any dubious scheme for making money or furthering his or her own ends

I think you are a dishonest opportunist who is using a dubious scheme...

you AGREED and COMMITTED to BUYING and item which INCLUDED postage..

So far you have FAILED TO COMMIT TO YOUR AGREEMENT have not BOUGHT the item and did not pay Postage.

You are a chancer - you have no grounds what so ever to complain. you are wrong end of.

you know full well you are too.. but being a prissy drama queen has done you no favours
Suit yourself; your pathetic insults and inability to read means I've no interest in discussing things further with you (un)reason.

You've got yourself very worked up about somebody else's 99p, but you'll have no further replies from me.

Go and find a lamppost to argue with or something.

Prowla - after all that has been said on this thread, just tell us that you've taken on board all the comments and feedback, and next time, you'll ask about collection BEFORE bidding!

I posted this yesterday, but haven't seen any comments on it yet.

(The irony is not lost on me, considering you were complaining about somebody not responding to you!!)

    So I ask again

Next time, will you ask about collection before bidding?

I havent insulted at all, i have stated that based on ALL your posts which i have read - you are a chancer who is clearly wrong and wants to only hear from the 1 person who thinks your sunshines and angels yet has ignored the large majority who think you are wrong.

you have failed at every chance to justify why you bid and won an item knowing you had to pay postage without clarifying it first..

and when you got the open case you still refused to pay postage even though the indication is clear.

you have sulked and moaned and whined and you have come across as a bit of a nothing better to do loser..

thats not insulting its my view of your whining..stop crying and learn from your mistake
  • He didn't make a mistake. and you clearly fail to comprehend basic English.

The irony is that the large majority that think he's wrong ... are wrong.

    Well, well, well...

I received the following message from the seller:
Sorry my infinity was down over the weekend and so i had no email. I will relist with a collection option.
    I've responded:
    Hi.

Thanks; I'm happy to bid/buy again.

Did you know that your phone number is also incorrect (an old one you no longer use); I thought you might have some issue so I tried that but got your voice mail.

    regards,
    All you doubters...

    Sure you did.
And it doesn't change any of what the 'doubters' have been saying.

You said you had the unpaid strike removed.

But if the seller's Internet was down, they wouldn't have been able to close the case, so you wouldn't have actually got a strike.

    Doesn't add up to me

And you still haven't said whether or not you would ask before bidding next time.

But I'm probably on ignore, so I'm talking to myself!:rotfl:

    Exactly my thoughts...
If as op says there was no internet for the seller then surely the seller closed the npb rather than op being awarded a strike and then getting cs to remove it.
Which would mean there was no strike to remove in the first place.

Yes, yes, yes .... keep looking, there must still be some way of finding a possible fault or a loophole, or even a typo so that everyone can get back up onto their high horse. The one that everyone fell off and hit the ground like a sack of spuds.

If the buyer, the seller, and ebay have no problem ... then ... umm ....
