If so, at this point I'd just be suggesting they move. It's not fair. Of course they shouldn't have to. But the amount of stress this must cause them simply isn't good for them. From the sounds of it you're never going to reason with her and I don't see how the situation will improve. If it were me living there, I'd move as fast as possible.
We moved house earlier this year. We didn't have problem neighbours but they did play music in their garden all day, every day when the weather was nice. I need my peace and quiet so it ruined my garden for me - I couldn't sit out and enjoy it. Until we moved and I relaxed, I hadn't realised quite how much the situation had been getting to me.
Life's too short to put up with this nonsense.
Yes, I've said this to them. My mum is well up for moving, but my dad is a stubborn old git and would see moving as essentially 'losing' and her 'winning' as obviously that's the result the neighbour wants.0 -

Not a win for her if, as you say, LL would rent out as an HMO.... might be worth pointing this out to dad.

I'd move, life's too short. I know it feels like losing but within a few weeks it will be a distant memory, rather than an ongoing nightmare.0

So they arranged to meet up at a cafe this morning and hash some issues out.
Neighbour never arrived.

The Pineapple chunk I put down to the OAP's, I guess they had been throwing exotic food into the pond in an attempt to slowly kill the fish off.
It could have been another neighbour chucking pineapple out for the birds ... then the birds picking that up and dropping it when they spotted the fish.0 -
birds eat pineapple?!Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

She still rings the police about it, but my grandparents have been told they'll ignore the complaints.
Could be vascular dementia - they hallucinate and to them it's real... they come out with some completely bizarre events that are happening .... usually involving people looking at them, through windows.0 -

You can't reason with unreasonable people. Your parents will never 'win' this. Have you looked to see what other rental places they could get for the same price? If you could find one that's nicer, maybe they'd be tempted to view?0 -

I think my mum needs to get on full-on nagging my dad to take his pride down a peg, leave, and bask in the glory of the landlord hopefully keeping to her promise of making it a student HMO!0 -
