Dublin vs London

Haha!!! What a load of nonsense.... Are you Boris Johnson in disguise or something? Desperate for people to go to London

It's unlikely Boris is desperate for people to go to London considering it's one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.
But Dublin really is a kip. Dirty, expensive and crime-ridden.
Most British tourists go there simply to get bladdered in Temple Bar on stag and hen nights.0 -

lol!!! You are so defensive. And still talking a lot of bull about Dublin. Any right minded person reading your posts will realise your talking nonsense. Walk on and waste your energy spreading your nasty opinions elsewhere.0 -
I also dissagree with him. What a ridiculous statement, why would you expect dublin to be up there with the likes of Beijing, New York etc. as a top world destination..... Just because it isnt in that list, doesnt make it a rubbish place to go. Its a great place to go, the people are also really friendly (no chance of getting that in London), there is plenty of things to do, a great laugh. But its a small city, so to compare it to the likes of London is mental...
Absoloutely maz. If I am comparing world class cities I would be comparing it to New York Toronota Rio even..
Dublin is a small but fantastic city in its own right, but it's not up there with the biggies, but for me a world class city is New York, not London, as much as I like it.
Ps, I would ignore a certain poster up thread.
Anytime, there is any thread vauguely related to Ireland, he comes out with the same old nonsense. It's actually quite funny, it's so predictable.:rotfl:
OP, I hope you have a great time wherever you decide to go:)0 -

Great to see there is normal people on this site, lol. He really hates Dublin, haha. He doesnt do himself any favours, anyone reading that will just see a nasty person
Yeah, I love New York, DEF better than London in my eyes. I could never see myself moving to London, but I would love to live in New York, I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Would love to go back again some day.0 -

I have googled, and cannot see London in any of these kind of lists (but Dublin is....):

Best place to live.... Where is London in this list compared to Dublin?

Maybe it is but that is the question the OP asked.
I prefer Belfast to Dublin but the OP didnt ask that0 -
I know the thread's called "Dublin vs London" - but maybe people could try and remember the context of the thread?
OP wants to organise a minimoon, not partake in a heated debate on the relative merits of the two places.0 -

Exactly, and I recommended Dublin because OP's wife is pregnant and doesn't want to do anything too strenuous.
I love London (bit live near enough for a day/evening out there) so wouldn't go for a holiday, I liked Rome (but friends tell me it's become very scruffy and dirty lately), I'm off to Istanbul soon. I loved Vienna and Berlin and New York and Verona and Lisbon and.....
However much I rate London I'm not going to visit there to the exclusion of all else.
What a load of carp some people write and so adversarial and full of their own importance. But that's message boards for you. They're probably anonymous little wimps in RL. :rotfl:0 -

Totally agree, that's why I recommend it also
I really like both, but Dublin would suit better in this case I think. Just the issue of cost. The train deals are good. 0
