I didn't know there was a limit to the number of cases that a buyer can open...good to know. Thanks x
I don't think there is a set number , I think eBay look more for a pattern.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I don't do a lot on eBay...but is there no 3rd party site you can use to keep track of these people? Seems like quite a good idea to me...You block them, add their name as "blocked" on a 3rd party site and then other eBay users can export a list of all users on 3 or more sellers' blocked lists. I imagine eBay's t&c block that...as they do pretty much any attempt to protect the seller?0 -
I bought some items from China. Been waiting ages for them.
They arrived the other day and thought great until i opened the package. Wrong ones...Argghhh.
Instead of having 2 male plugs on the leads as ordered these are male/female.
Seller basically calls me dishonest and asks if i am trying to scam them. Asks for photo's i send HUGE full size 12MP photo's lets hope that clogs their email up for a bit.
Pictures of the leads and the package with tracking number.
Seller apologizes and offers a refund.
Been a bit of a pain lately with Chinese sellers.
Some electronic boards didnt arrive, Still waiting for a watch from the same seller, Been 40 days so far. All the other watches arrived ages ago.
Refunded on the boards and re-ordered.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Yeah until you find yourself on the list added 3 times by the same person who has 3 accounts. Or gets his mates to add you also.
Open to too much abuse. And potential data protection issues.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Open to abuse, but as far as the data protection act goes, there are no issues.
If all that is provided is an ebay user name, this is information that is already in the public domain and is freely available on many websites (ebay, toolhaus, goofbay etc) and with just a user id it is impossible to discover a real identity to go with it and without this being possible, there can be no DPA breech.0 -

My user ID gives you my actual name and address- as would the ebay id for most compliant businesses.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Which is information that is already freely available for anyone should they wish to look for it, and as it is a legal requirement for business sellers to provide their trading details, it still isn't a breech of the DPA.0 -

Can't comment without seeing the message they sent you, but it's perfectly reasonable to ask for photos - I've asked for photos of damaged items before. Sometimes they send them, then I sort out replacements or refunds. Often it goes quiet.
I wouldn't walk into Argos without the broken item I bought there and expect a refund either.0 -
Well so I woke up and logged on with trepidation (most Ebay sellers know that sinking logging on feeling) at whether the smartly worded/veiled threat to leave negative feedback had been carried out and it hasn't...so far
But then I started smiling after looking at lunchtime at the days feedback that has been left so far:
I counted that of the last 12 feedbacks I have been left, 11 !!! of them are for the same particular item in my OP and I kid you not EVERY one of them is along the lines of 'well packaged / arrived early / safely packaged / great packaging / great item ' so I thought, go on..:rotfl: say it wasn't packaged well if you dare because I now feel more confident that any new purchaser would now probably ignore that one c****y comment of yours when every other buyer is more than happy !
So I will wait and see...
I might start keeping a diary though entitled:
'Diary of an Ebay Seller in 2014 .... What I Really Want to Say & What I Had To Say !'
Would love to hear any other sellers stories as Amber Sunshine suggests as knowing I'm not alone might just [STRIKE]stop me reaching for the wine [/STRIKE]keep me sane !

P.S. 19lottie82 - what is a C-Bomb ?0
