sam.4000 - your tortoise sounds hilarious.

    I have a uu

Emma Hardie Plumping Serum 5ml, I have used 3 of these now and cannot see a difference at all, for what she charges I should be amazed by the stuff. WNBA.

  • Hi All

Just a quick post as I have another UU, Body Shop Vit E Serum, WDBA and have replaced this with one from the stash. I apply it after cleansing in the mornings and before my primer, really lightweight and soaks in beautifully, I also like the subtle rose fragrance.

Sam.4000 your tortoise story was brilliant - thank you for putting a smile on my face after a horrid [STRIKE]day[/STRIKE] week at work. He sounds so naughty!

Is he friendly, does he interact with you? Amazing that you've had him in the family for so long, presumably as he lives outdoors he's not the type to need hibernating/vivarium?

Sorry for going completely OT ladies but I *love* tortoises, have been badgering my OH for one for years but we have too many pets already apparently!

No toiletries news but a few splutterers so hopeful of a few last-minute UUs this weekend.

  • Evening ladies,

Little man is in bed, glass of wine on the go and i've just sneaked a mini snickers ice cream out the freezer...life is good! So thought i'd pop on here and see how you're all doing.

    Welcome to Tammyb_uk:)
Sorry to hear about your news Rosemary sounds very tragic, even more so since he was at his dad's funeral:(

I have finally used up my Aussie colour protect leave-in conditioner! I thought this would give up about 2 weeks ago but due to some rather excessive spraying this morning it finally gave up! WNBA, didn't think it did an awful lot really. I know a lot of people swear by Aussie hair products but i've tried a few and not really been that fussed. Everyone's hair is very different though. That's why i try to not read too much into online reviews about shampoo/conditioner as you just never know.

Love your tortoise Sam.4000he sounds like a right little rascal! Very determined tortoise!

Been sat in air-con at work all day today so my face now feels as dry as the sahara. Off to put a face mask on.

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry to read of your break in, mcculloch, and condolences to your friend who has had to deal with the tragedy of losing a child for the second time. Sending my love to you too, rosemary, and thinking positive thoughts for Evan xx

Personally- and toiletry-speaking, I will be glad when this month is over! In the grand scheme of things my moans don't even register but I am feeling a bit :( nonetheless. Onwards and upwards, eh?!

More love for the tortoise here too :rotfl:

I have 2 UU, 1 was a You Snap The Whip body butter from Lush which I think I have 2 more of in the cupboard so will be using again as I love the smell (and they were free). I also used up a Naked hair mask tub that I have been using for the last year  so glad it's used up. Don't get me wrong, it was nice and all but I just wanted to get it used and gone to reduce my stash :o. I will now start working on my American Cream conditioner (which I love the smell of) in preperation for using my Retread conditioner....some day lol

Also posted a king of skin body butter, 2 tinted lip balms and a hair serum to a friend yesterday to declutter those out of the house. All freebies from work but I just have too much that I would rather give it to a friend who will appreciate it than have it linguishing in my cupboard. I am sure I can buy and replace them when my stash is under control again. So 4 GA to add to my total too :T

    Slowly getting somewhere :)

I had a tortoise when I was a child but it didn't survive the winter hibernating :(

I know do a couple of people who have friends with tortoises about the same age.

He is quite a character and very determined. He no longer is allowed to have a vacation at my parents as a couple of years ago he ate the heads of a row and a half of my dad's beans he was growing, dad moved him away from the beans and he just went back for more.

He does hibernate each winter and then lives in my kitchen diner till it warm up enough for him to go outside. He used to have an old bookcase that I used to lie flat with the shelves removed but his escape antics meant I thought it was unsafe.

He actually loves you to stoke his chin, if he does not want to be picked up he will use his front legs to get out of your hands. I got weed on last weekend by him as I had removed him from the vegetable patch and he was not happy about it ( not very nice).

He has a far more limited diet with me than he had with my nan who fed him egg whites, bread pudding and other things he should not have. My nan also used to chew fruit up for him and then feed it to him. I think that is probably the reason he is the size he is but it does not seem to have harmed him.

I have found a couple of photos from last year, the bottom one so him trying to get to my sweet corn, he did win and flattened them a couple of times they never really recovered after that.
