Hey guys,
Just received a rejection letter from ANPR ltd, after sending them the standard template letter. Am I safe to assume that I now request a POPLA code from them, even though I already asked for one?
Thanks

If the rejection of your appeal did not contain one then yes. You also need to complain to the BPA, and make ANPR aware that you have complained.0

Thanks for the reply. Is there a standard template letter available, or is it a case of "DIY"? I don't want to trip myself up!! Thanks.zayt nisht meshugge0

Something along the lines of:Dear Sirs,
Ref PCN: [Insert PCN number]
I refer to my appeal to you dated [insert date of your initial appeal to the PPC], which you rejected on [insert date from the letter containing the rejection of your appeal]. Your rejection did not contain a valid code to allow me to access POPLA. The provision of this code forms part of the BPA Code of Conduct, which you have now breached. I have reported this breach to the BPA.
Please send me a POPLA code within 7 days. Should you fail to do so then I will submit a further complaint to the BPA. Also, should you fail to provide this code within 7 days I will consider that you have decided to reconsider my appeal and accept it and will therefore consider this matter at a close.

Just received the POPLA code from ANPR ltd, but it came with a template POPLA form that apparently I'm supposed to fill in and use for my appeal. Is this normal practice? The form only lists 4 possible grounds for appeal, none of which are GPEOL.zayt nisht meshugge0

correct, or do it in word or notepad, attach to the online appeal at popla instead of mailing it
tick 3 boxes of 4 (not stolen)
it doesnt have the options we would want as they know people will use them, so tick 3 from 4
use the typical ones from here like not a gpeol, no contract , poor signage etc in your actual popla appeal (ignoring those 3 options for now)
check the code is valid using the parking cowboys checker too0 -
Just out of interest, another member (da_rule) a few posts earlier mentioned that I should have received the POPLA code within 7 days. Is that part of the BPA guidelines? It took them nearly a month to supply the code after I complained.zayt nisht meshugge0

Of course a POPLA form is normal - you would find that is one of the ways to appeal as listed on the POPLA website about 'how to appeal'. You can either use that form and attach your POPLA appeal printed out (code on every page and stapled together, not paper-clipped) and send it snail mail. Or submit it online instead to POPLA on their website. Have you got all your points sorted out, have you based your POPLA appeal wording on a template in 'How to win at POPLA' in post #3 of the newbies sticky thread?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the replies. I'm trying to find a POPLA template letter to fit my circumstances (poor signage only, it was a permit car park) but I'm going round in circles! Would it be OK to pick the bits out of various letters then post it here for checking?zayt nisht meshugge0

But there are just such examples in post #3 of the NEWBIES thread 'How to win at POPLA'. You certainly don't write only about poor signage. Look for any windscreen ticket case examples, not Parking Eye ones, as I assume yours was a windscreen PCN at first. Then draft yours from a similar example.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
