Be careful littlepockets someone may one day listen to you.
The original post indicates the 'Police Screw Up, a more decisive statement of criticism could not have written.
Please read my post again and understand the point regarding social responsibility and therefore the irrelevancy of the original post when set against the good work of the Police and the challenges which they face.
If you wish I can lower the intelligence of the post and just ask where one may obtain a nice curry whilst on holiday !
Like I said read the whole thread before your criticise the OP
I doubt anyone can lower the intelligence of the post then you - like refering other MSE'rs to "RTFM"..............nice

If your insurance isn't going to pay you should have checked the small print and got a better policy!
I can only assume you have chosen to have a very low excess on your policy and consequently pay a much higher premium. No doubt you already knew this as you read the small print of your policy in great detail."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -
Hi,
To be honest it may be better to make a claim for any damage done and the recovery charge of £105, obviously depending on your excess.
The thing is that there is a record on a database somewhere that your car has been stolen, now when you renew your insurance I believe there is a cleverly worded question which basically asks if you have had any claims losses accidents etc. I think it’s worded in a particular way that regardless of if you've made a claim or not you still have to mention your car was stolen. So, if you say yes, obviously your premium will increase but you'll probably keep your NCB.
If you say no, and are later found to have lied I believe this is non-disclosure which means if you have an accident or loss the insurance company will refuse to pay out, which isn't fair to the other party, especially if they are seriously injured and will suffer permanent disability.
Also, if the insurance company find out that you have kept it quiet then it will remain on the insurance database until the day you die, making it very difficult in future to get affordable insurance. Non-disclosure isn't a criminal matter it's an insurance matter so it's not like penalty points that disappear after a few years, it's for life and I believe unless you can prove that they are wrong there is no way to appeal.
I must point out I'm not an expert on this, I just did a bit of research on this a while back after being involved in an accident myself, so it would be nice to hear from an insurance expert to confirm if this really is the case.

FH
That's what I've researched and found as well.
If your car is stolen/broken into whether or not you claim for the damage you have to report it as it is likely that your car is attractive to thieves and will be stolen/broken into again. This is why you see cars around you with all kinds of wonderful security measures i.e. wheel clamps, steering wheel locks.
BTW OP most people who post on this site do their own research and do not unnecessarily work for the companies/organisations mentioned. They only post what they have found because they have spent a long time and lots of effort finding out the information and may as well be in the public domain.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Arrogant and conceited enough to think someone would want to join "your appreciation" society

Read my posts sweetheart and understand my point silly silly child.
But hurry cause your next lesson will be about to start0 -
Littlepockets, you will make yourself ill with this pent up anger that spills out onto the post. Go for a walk, have a cuppa and calm down, it may just be worth accepting that a number of people do not agree with you and believe the OPs comments and perception of the incident are petty and misguided.
Move on, nothing to see here.0
