  • Welcome thistle....

We can do it - one small step at a time....

Patman I don't have a decent local butchers nearby - usually go to a butchers about 25 miles away and stock up....not worth it generally for one piece of meat.....
  • So payday is on us.....made the minimum to aqua and a bit extra, and the same to studio.
  • Keep chipping away LinkyPie.
My last spend just missed the credit card statement so I don't need to pay anything until November on that card, and luckily I have the money saved to cover it.
Still got the others to sort though.

    T:)
    Mortgage at end 05/2007: £90200
    Mortgage at end 08/2018: £71646 paid £18354 (20.5%)
    MFD: :eek:Original:05/2042:eek:
    Car Finance: £8225 : £6392 (22.2% paid off)
    CC Debt (0% until 06/2020): £5640 : £4400 (21.7% paid off)

Age of Money at 31/08/2018 = 23 days

YNAB is changing the way I live my life....and spend my money!!
  • So - what do I have to report.....

Debt has increased slightly - as we are decorating the house (well our bedroom and DD's) bedroom.

But it needed to be done so being done it is.

The dfd is still May 2015 and the plan is to be mortgage free in 2020....
  • So Christmas shopping is upon us.....so not a lot of money saving going on.....

Gotta tighten my belt for next ten days....so hopefully I'll be able to have a few NSD's. Haven't joined the challenge this time....am going to go it alone this month but still aiming for a minimum of 5.

Off to the theatre tonight with DH and DD - DH bought the tickets ages ago. On the plus side side, we get a free book each with the tickets, guess what DFIL is getting as part of his Christmas present...

    Report more later

    Linkypie x
  • So I have a mini target that I have set myself - I need to save £700 in six weeks.

I have started Mystery Shopping and that will be going straight to the goal - expecting approximately £65 from this week.

Other than that not a whole lot of money saving going on - think I'll be back on the wagon on January 1st.

    Write more soon x
  • Not a lot to post - except I've had 3 NSD's since the start of December!!!

    Post more later x
  • Well I'm back!

Debt is in around the same place, but am still aiming to be debt free by June 2015.

Plans are in place for two dream holidays - one to Dubai and one to New York, both towards the end of the year - not very frugal but will be so so worth it!

DH is finally on the mend following an absolutely awful year - he had two toes amputated in April, and we have been waiting for him to heal fully ever since, nearly there though.

DD has had a rollercoaster year, being a teenager we've had silly issues over boys, she's been accused of being a bully when in fact she was being bullied and her weight has yoyoed.

As for me, well I have basically neglected myself, my weight has yoyoed....my skin is dry and cracked, my hair needs cutting and dyeing, my health has suffered.....need I go on?:o

So that's the gripes about 2014 over and done with......lets start looking forward and writing something positive shall we?:rotfl:
