Hey all,

Have started a number of these and never kept them going....but this time I'm going to do it. I have a plan and my predicted DFD is 31/01/2015.

My debt is as follows:

Company/Original Balance/Current Balance
Littlewoods/8850/656
Vanquis/3000/2850
Capital One/500/450
QuickQuid/1800/1800
Aqua/1200/1200
Studio/371/371
Barclaycard/1400/1400
Barclaycard/1400/1400 (DH)

Before anyone tells me about the horror of payday loans – I know. QQ are due to be paid off on 11/06 and then I will NEVER be using them again!!

My active debt paying will be beginning in earnest on 06/08/2014 – this is when I will have excess money to pay off on my debts. Until this time I will be making at least the minimum payments, with a little extra when I can.

I am trying to change my mindset when it comes to spending money, but know that this will be a long term process.

I shall write more later.

So here I am on Day 1 of my journey....plan for today is a NSD and a look at what I can sell to add to my pot.

Got the week of work, and apart from a day out with my friend tomorrow, am hoping that the rest of the week will also be NSD or as close as possible.

Would ideally like to make £10 a day so will pop over to the challenge board, probably won't formally join it until the start of the month.

    Have a good day all.

So my plans for a NSD/week have gone to pot - being off work means that I have enjoyed days out with my family and my friend.

Today I spent £35.00 on petrol, bread and bacon. Woke up desperate for a bacon sandwich!

I have also spent £8 on lottery tickets - two for tonight and two for tomorrow.

So not a great day spending wise....but I have also made a payment off my studio card which had a slightly higher balance than I thought....was actually £371 instead of £350....paid 54.14 off leaving a balance of £316.86.

Hope you are all having a good day x

So,back again - just got accepted for a 0% balance transfer card - so will see what limit I get and transfer one of my outstanding balances to save on the astronomical interest I'm being charged.

Back again - popped out to Mr T to buy DD school shoes so should have just spent £8...but ended up spending nearly £31!

Really got to reign in my spending....off to read some diaries for some inspiration.

So postman came with my AA renewal - necessary evil as family live 100+ miles away...

Saved £35 on my renewal quote and got in on installments rather than having to find a stupid amount in July.

!2 days until my payday loan is paid off....counting down the days!

I don't know if anyone is reading this - but if not - keeping me sane.

Just had another MSE moment....my food processor lid broke before christmas.....and I hadn't done anything about it. The old me would have ordered a new one on credit.....the new me found a replacement lid online that cost me £9.81 including postage.....a few food processor would have been nearly £200....
