  • Morning all

So the day has started well.....

1:had breakfast from home rather than buying it.....

2: taken pork chops out of freezer for tea tonight.....

3: brought spaghetti hoops and bread to work for lunch....

So no spends so far.....but I do have some things I need to get...will list them later!

Have a good day all x
  • So -

    Spends thus far:
    1:Macbeth - for DD GSCE £1.99
    2:2xIpad cables - for DH and I £6.00

Need to stop off on way home for a few bits....
  • So today hasn't been a NSD but have only spent £9. This has been on:
1: A case for my very new and shiny iphone 6+ - a necessary spend to protect it from bendgate! £9.00
2:A case for my DD for my ex iphone 5 - £1.00
    3: 6 x kinder chocolate bars (a treat for me) - £1.00

I know that people will feel that having a brand new phone isn't very MSE but my costs haven't changed and it was free!!! I actually ordered an Iphone 6 but was sent a 6+ instead....who am i to complain!

In other news I have sold my daughters not so old Samsung S4 to a colleague and made a profit of £160! So that'll come in handy!

  • So - time for some straight speaking to myself....

Target of 5 NSD's for this month - that's got to be doable.....

Just to clarify to myself an NSD is a day where I do not spend any money on myself - in general this will be a day when I don't spend any money from my own account (with the exception of petrol which I pay for)

    My goals for October -
    1. Breakfast either at home or from home every day.
    2. Lunch from home
    3. Meal Planning
    4. Inventories of food and toiletry cupboards

So the plan for today -
    1. Washing
    2. Folding Laundry
    3. Load Dishwasher
    4. Lunch from cupboard
    5. prepare bags for tomorrow
    6. Prep vegetables for tomorrow

So let's see how the day goes - off to football later which will involve dinner out and possibly a small spend on petrol.

Off to read a few diaries.......need some inspiration.
  • So the month hasn't started so well.....was out late last night so no breakfast or lunch from home - on the plus side it is payday so maybe I'll have a cheap treat brunch and combine the two.

    Plans for today:
    1. Make a couple of payments
    2. Post nieces birthday card

I'm sure there is loads more but I'll let you know when I remember them!

Come on Linkypie, you CAN do this ... No more backsliding ! Pick a wee debt .. Studio ? And get it away this month ! You said in post one that you would really get underway in August , no sign of thakt happening yet ! Go on girl, I really want to see you beat this !
Its just a bad day, Not a bad life ..
  • Hi Mara, thanks for posting.....

    I know.....I know...

So although I haven't managed to pay studio off I have made an additional payment.....so not massive but it's something.

No NSD's to report - got to buy DD's birthday cards today - can't believe she's 15 tomorrow

Things have sort of run away with me.....had a number of unexpected but necessary expenses but am sorting my life out. Have got YNAB but haven't really got into it yet, am struggling as DH and I get paid four weekly on alternate fortnights.....

So on my way to work and the start of another long week....

My new plan is to make additional payments where I can on my debt and then starting January 7 I will be making much larger payments, and will still be debt free by May 2015.

In other news have been enquiring re secured loan on house, thought it had 15 years left - have only got ten!!!! In addition been playing with the snowball calculator and reckon that with hard work I could be totally debt free (mortgage and all) by January 2020......but that's a long term goal!

So not a great amount of positivity but I'm looking forward with a new perspective!

    Post later x

  • Also realised that I have cut myself off from the outside world a little bit.....not sure why but I don't have many friends, maybe it's me!

I am also feeling a bit low and it's not just about money....(although we all know that it plays it's part)

So I need to sort my life out - starting this morning with work!

Going to declutter my desk and get my to do list up to date!

Got some other work stuff to do and then will be off home where I have a pile of laundry waiting to be folded and some other bits (although if I am luck my DD or DH will have done laundry).

I think today is going to be a day of discovery for me - or I'll get really depressed and run home and hide under the duvet!!!!!
