I am having another session in the back room!! It is horrid in there.. emptying a huge box into a small basket helped loads and folding the 2 airers!
My next bit is emptying the 5 boxes from behind the door which contain stuff I think I want but haven't been touched in years.. they are being moved and OH's gym equipment is being stashed there. which will clear the bay and the floor in front of the chest of drawers which I can then put away the stuff that is heaped on top of the chest.. that will be a massive improvement. I then have wool to ebay.. unless anyone wants a mountain of chunky and aran in pink and white? I'll pop it on my fb too I think.. yeah.. new album for selling stuff is a good idea.. job for tonight when girls are away to bed I think.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Gave the kitchen a once over and then Declutter and hoovered stairs (the stairs are always cluttered with stuff to take up or down. So I got the washing basket and took it all to the right floors!) need to Hoover the second set of stairs when I get back later as dyson handheld ran out of battery!! Also need to vax the bathroom carpet! Then I am done for the day!

I'm another one who tries not to see this list/fred as a challenge. I see it as having some company while I'm doing what has to be done. I hate to think I'm the only one in the whole world doing any housework!
Just had cheese on toast, yum. Off to walk if off now.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
More nasty wet rain today.:( Thankfully all my washing from yesterday is now dry and out of my way. Even Ted doesn't like going out in the wet - Mr LW put him outside first thing, he went to the washing whirligig pole, pee'd and dashed back indoors.:D So about 07:15, after my bath, I put him out again; he tried the same thing, but I was ready for him. Me: "Oh no you don't, my lad, down that garden and do your business. Now!!" Ted: "Hmmph. Oh, well, s'pose I'd better" (I could almost hear him say it) and trundled off to do his business. He did get a treat when he came back inside.;) For those who like Terry Pratchett, Ted would make an excellent Gaspode The Wonder Dog.:D
I shall leave hoovering til tomorrow, and do it when Ted's been picked up, as he's another dog who hates the hoover.:o
I need to start thinking about running down the perishables, ready for our holiday (away 9th-16th June) and also soon need to put a moratorium on the wearing of clothes we want to take. I must also order our Euros - if I do that online tomorrow, they'll be at the bank easily for us to collect on Saturday. I know it's early, but I'd sooner get it done and that's one less thing to think about. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Ironing is done and put away.
Tom plants in pots put outside for the rain to water them.
It seems my 10 year old guest who is back home now, has been sent home from school today, for being asleep at his desk!! it seems jetlag has got him, luckly his teacher thinks it is funny, and asked for someone to collect him, and send him to bed early to help him adjust back.
I agree with LW it is raining here yet again..................Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Thanks Valli and Mrs MP; nothing is going to shift that sucker - twisting, lifting, prodding, shoving, it's absolutely solid in its orifice. (Why is that word always so unfortunate?) I have a House - Room by Room file now and there are sections in it for R (plumber) and M (decorator and general builder) for questions and little repairs only they can do. That's one for R, and he'll have the answer because he installed it. I'm sure I've had it out to degunk it before, but like the amazing fantasy sofa slip cover zip, I was obviously wrong about that.
Two red pepper, courgette and feta quiches made, shower room sink unblocked, sofa cushion covers and slip cover ironed. I love making quiche.Better is good enough.0 -
so far today I have taken DD to work, sneaked back to bed, soaked in the bath and watched several episodes of secret eaters!!
Ho hum
Now off to vax the bedroom carpet!!Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
