Hi all
Sorry been MIA for a couple of weeks as have struggled to juggle work and this challenge. This week is half term so I'm hoping to get the house clean again as the cleaning I did at Easter really helped get me through the last half term.

Hello again. This is what I've done so far today:
Gym
Bath
WUDUPA
Two washloads done and on airer and stuff already on airer put away
Hoovered through house
Walked dogs
Put out recycling, rubbish and composting
Done some of the LR jobs from the list (I started with the kiddie jobs!)
The weather has brightened up. I am going to put my feet up for half an hour reading the paper, have an early lunch, then will go for a long dog walk with some friends if the weather holds.
The plan when I get back is to alternate 15 mins gardening with 15 mins doing jobs from the list.
Catch you all later.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Sorry been MIA for a couple of weeks as have struggled to juggle work and this challenge.
Would it help to think of every single thing you do towards having a tidier/cleaner house as an achievement rather than the whole thing being a challenge? The challenge thing would defeat me completely.
Does anyone know how to get a push down plug fitting out of a sink? The shower room sink is pretty much blocked and I'm okay with sorting that out, but it would be a lot easier and quicker if I could get the plug out first. As it is, it's tricky getting the bicarb past it. I've tried unscrewing it, but it's locked solid, and I'm not sure unscrewing it is the right way to go anyway? Any thoughts anyone?Better is good enough.0 -
Honey - any chance you know the brand? My handbasin one in the bathroom unscrews but the bath one just lifts out. My friend's basin one also lifts out; hers has a sort of 'trap' under it but my bath one doesn't.

Thank you Honey Bear0 -
was going to suggest the same as valli had honey, i hope you manage to get it sorted.
have gone into a sort of flitting mode, all the cupboards and the fridge have been emptied and sorted through in the kitchen and now im faffing about sorting the recycle paper into shred and non shred piles.
eventually it should mean bags of recyclable paper card and plastic will go out but at the mo it just looks a mess.
DS1 has gone docs reminded him to take money as prescripts cost and i dont fancy a walk down in the rain later when hell be passing the chemist on his way back
DS2 has surfaced so told him he can have breakfast then tidy his room ready for the clothes decull!
still raining here so no chance of any washing getting done todaySPC~12 ot 124
