Hi all,
We've just done a hhc, DS had the Scarborough warning as he has been rather unhelpful this weekend, and it's his toys everywhere. Anyway, he has done so is now tucking into some cornflakes before bed. Met friends for a late lunch and the kiddies had a ball - the pub had a small park but more exciting was the steep grassy hill for rolling down :rotfl: so they've also been in the bath again.
So we are fairly tidy now - I have a few kitchen bits to do but since the chicken dinner was made for us there is no washing up :T
They are shattered so I'm chasing them to bed now...Bossymoo

Any of you have black out blinds / curtains? if so what do you recommend? I am considering getting some for my room.
We have black out blinds in DD's room & her old one is in the kitchen. We just got them from Arg0s. I'm switching them out to voile in DD's room and Venetian in the kitchen simply because I am sick of them being mouldy (damp problems due to condensation on DDs window) & catching every flipping moth that appears in our house  They do do a wonderful job of blacking out stuff though
Honeybear - I have smoke alarms I can't remove batteries from, but they were fitted by the fire brigade many years back. I think my parents have ones that are wired into the mains so no batteries there either. And thanks for the reminder, I knew there was something other than tester pots I wanted from BQ :wall:
I spent yesterday sewing stuff ALL day  DD left here around 10am, I cleaned the bathroom, put a wash load on then sat down with the sewing. When DD got home about 11pm I was still sewing  I did manage to do 4 wash loads, dried, folded & away, but thats it. I had such high hopes as well knowing I had 12 hours to myself
Anyways today we dug out the DIY stuff, discovered 4 open tins of paint were full of black fluffy mould so thats getting flung, other paint has gone off and I have no idea whats happened to half my painting suppliesSo we headed off to BQ, didn't manage a proper look as DD started complaining she wasn't feeling well. Came home again with some tester pots via Maccys (I thought she might have been 'sicky hungry' but it wasn't that, AF arrived apparently
) then went back out to Mr A for some groceries & so DD could spend her reward voucher from school (A new book, and an England cup) then I've spent the rest of the evening comparing costs of DIY supplies at local-ish shops. I have decided I hate choosing wallpaper, flooring and shopping with a teen :rotfl::rotfl:
Right, going to find something to watch, and after I've chased DD to bed, I'm going to tidy up and iron. There isn't much, but its mainly DD's uniform & I have to get creative with iron on webbing & her old school pants to make some more belt loops for her new school trousers again. I must have flung her old ones without taking the loops off themI'm only doing what I have to, then tomorrow I'll clear the pile since the forecast is rain
Off to chase the child see you on the new thread.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Hi all
I don't know if I mentioned somewhere but I have decided to be kinder to myself, my family and my home by cutting out some of the crazy running around stuff I do so that I can look after myself, my family and my home more
I will still be up to my eyeballs for the next few weeks and then we break up for Summer hols and I can't start moving towards the goals I want i life
Until then I will be trying more to join in and thereafter
Looking forward to the new thread - hoping to start on list tonight
Much love
xxEverything happens for a reason0
