Hello OP, you say you're in Wales if you're anywhere near Pembrokeshire these guys will gladly take furniture (I'm not sure about electricals) off your hands.

Oh for goodness' sake!
Being clear about what something isn't, in title, being against ebay rulers is a new one on me but nevertheless, seller was only trying to - helpfully - be as clear as possible about what he was selling.
Too many people on ebay are the exact opposite and are tardy and misdescribe and I know which kind of listing I'd rather, as a buyer, encounter!
The problem really is that there's too many thick people out there - all this talk of 'confusion' - come on!
Are we dealing with amoebas here?
If they can't read then they shouldn't be ebaying, or perhaps they could learn to search more efficiently? '- not' could work wonders!*Look for advice, not 'advise'*
*Could/should/would HAVE please!*

Greed pays a large part too. they see 32" TV for 99p and think wow I can get something for nothing.
Get overexcited, dont read advert, dont read location and get their nbid in quick. Think they've got a bargain.
Even if this user had wanted the TV they still failed on another count. Not noticing that it was local collection only and that they lived 200 miles away from me!0 -
The reason you should not put what is it NOT in the title if that anyone searching for 'flat screen TV' will end up finding your item.
I do agree that with your general principle, but I think it's better to be clear on what something IS, not what is it not. People really do not appear to read listings anyhow, so just mention what you are selling, and don't try to say it's not something else as it'll confuse Ebay searches and the befuddled and easily confused.
Ebay banned folks putting 'not' into the title ages ago..you'd find someone listing say an M&S handbag, and they'd put 'not Prada Gucci' in the title, which was a form of search manipulation.
Hopefully your buyer will agree a mutual cancellation.0 -
Common sense is sadly not that common...

You just can't win with some people though, can you?
If you put 'CRT old big chunky wide thick telly', you'd still get some thicko just reading 'telly' and buying it anyway . . .
