new kitten vomiting

I've only just collected them as I had to wait for the antibiotics to work through her. Otherwise it stops some of the tests from working. So no results yet. She's very quiet today and not interested in food. She's done 2 horrid loos though. Feels like 1 step forward and 3 back.0

How long has she been on antibiotics for- (antibiotics can cause diarrhoea just like in humans ).
What is her precise list of meds/ special food at the moment please?
How is her hydration- if you pick up a pinch of skin on her back does it go back quickly?
Now is the time to rather firmly ask her breeder if you can be put into contact with the owners of the rest of the litter. If any of the others have had a problem it might be that they already have had stool samples done and the results through.
I always use aloe vera gel capsules with kitts with the squits, just pierce one end and squeeze in.DONT BREED OR BUY WHILE HOMELESS ANIMALS DIE. GET YOUR ANIMALS NEUTERED TO SAVE LIVES.0 -
She is off antibiotics at the moment as neither made any difference. She is on pro kolin and another batch of panacur while we wait for stool sample results - vet said about a week. That's an idea about contacting others. Vet said my cat is more maine coon than persian (which is what I had thought) and that confirms my suspicions that maybe she had combined 2 litters. She has just told me that Imogen WASN'T eating whiskas foodm after telling me that is what she had been on. She was apparently eating the Maine Coon's RC breed food. So me giving her whiskas when she started at my house would have added fuel to the flame as she wasn't used to it! Vet told me to contact her and ask for some of my money back as she says Immy must have been ill when I got her. Vet told me to give her nothing at the moment apart from the RC sensitivity diet. But I'll keep in mind your tip about Aloe Vera. Thanks0

That is really annoying about the food, why on earth couldn't she have told the truth?DONT BREED OR BUY WHILE HOMELESS ANIMALS DIE. GET YOUR ANIMALS NEUTERED TO SAVE LIVES.0

Hi yes. She has coccidia. She is on a 3rd antibiotic which makes her drool but this is that only other medication that can treat it. Her conjunctivitis has come back. She's up and down health-wise and at the moment is OK. Her loos are revolting and I'm going to see what the other result shows up before thinking about her long term wellbeing. Vet said this AM she may have a damaged pancreas, which could explain why the other antibiotics hAvent made any difference. Vet is considering a blood test next week if no improvement.
Taking a day at a time at the moment. Thanks for asking.0 -
Thats awful, what a lot of worry for you and your poor kitten.
I will hope for you that it clears up and that her pancreas isnt damaged.0 -
Sorry to hear that. We have had kittens in that have tested positive for coccidiosis, and I can remember that the stools were pretty revolting. Any idea which antibiotics she is on?DONT BREED OR BUY WHILE HOMELESS ANIMALS DIE. GET YOUR ANIMALS NEUTERED TO SAVE LIVES.0

She's on septrin. Last week it was metrodinazole but it didn't work. I can't remember what the first one was. I think vet was treating her for coccidia before we did the stool samples, but the meds didn't help. She said it's going to be a long haul.0

Glad you've got a diagnosis at last.
Really hope she pulls through and is fixed soon!I have a simple philosophy:
Fill what's empty. Empty what's full. Scratch where it itches.
