Strangely off topic here but I've got a random question, what happens to items that are unclaimed or unable to deliver at the Royal Mail? Do they auction it off? Surely they've got to do something with it, it can't just stay there?

Oh don't!!! I had a colleague who went away for a weekend and left her teenage son home alone.
She came in the office after the weekend away and was telling us all how the place was in a mess when she got back and that someone had spilled something all over the sofa. She reckoned they'd been eating yogurt and spilled it.
