Unless you want to buy 5 pots for £5:rotfl: at Ocado, it's 600ml single cream Avs M £1.35 vs £1.35 that works out cheaper by volume - it's going onto the list! (If it gives the 10%, it's slightly cheaper by volume than Elmlea substitute.) Or 300ml Avs T 69p (M 70p) but slightly more costly by volume. Of course if you don't use that much cream, wouldn't be worthwhile getting 600ml:rotfl:.
Not sure about Ocado's offer - may work out good if you have £40 spend to reach on online shop. Then, can you get the comparables to be £10 cheaper in T (and thus get an Ocado price match - but think you have to keep going on spending £40? - not sure, I always forget these terms) - and can be half the weight in T or twice the weight, adjusted by weight. Check the T&Cs first of course. I doubt that 5 for £5 would be any good - and do O account for mbuy savings?!? Ah, it's mix and match - but looks like the cheese and the milk in that offer are rather small sizes for my liking? Making it £1 for 2 pints of milk (when using 5 for £5) doesn't seem to be sensible to me - even if the milk is 'organic' - 2 pints (non-organic) are 89p elsewhere. 2 pints at 89p is a rubbish price: 4 pints are for 'only' 11p more (on normal muggle pricing, 1p more for Mr A colleagues or for us via APG) and 6 pints technically a shade cheaper (non organic, Avs T or Avs S)
There's this 'pay more for organic' thing. However my view these days - and it may be ill-informed - is that organic may be actually worse since it doesn't remove any 'nasties' from products - does growing 'organically' give risks of contamination in the natural environment? I may be completely mis-informed, as I've not looked into the issue in order to reach any informed decision up to now. This view just started in the past year and came from a food poisoning incident which started off, it was suggested, from organic produce (that big one across Europe we had some months ago). May I just have missed the overall thrust of how the incident actually happened and picked up on a little, irrelevant detail from the newscasting (in order to reinforce my view that paying more for something, that is said to be grown differently, is lacking in sense)?0 -
