Wash the leaves and put them on a plate between two bits of kitchen roll. Nuke for one min at a time until the leaves are brittle. Job done. Mine took between 3-5 minutes but I cant remember which one took how longJelly_Biactol wrote: »Another easy-peasy way of preserving left-over fresh rosemary (and other herbs) is to put it all (leaves, stalks etc) in a freezer bag (ziplock kind is best) and stick it in the freezer for a week or two; every so often, give it a shake, and all the leaves will drop off; then, just open the bag and remove the stalks .... job done.
You can leave the bag in the freezer and just use what you want.
I've still got some in my freezer from last summer.:)
Some excellent advice on freezing fresh herbs on the JO forum, esp the first post

Previously I'd thrown away the herb stems, but now I'm going to try the tip of grinding them up for a flavour-enhancer.

My shopping mojo is still very low. My Oh is due back in an hour and I've been tasked to compose a !!!!!! v Sada list.
I don't even really need to go shopping but I seem to be Ohs personal shopper - he has run out of mustard, chips, chip sticks all things he eats and can't live without. Also cat food
I have no idea how you lot manage to write lists with the kids on half term. I've had the phone ringing, someone at the door and then the cats drove me mad. I fed them before I started in the back porch outside thinking that would buy me half an hour, no they all had to troop back in through the patio one at a time. So I shut them all in the kitchen and then the ring leader was scratching on the door
In the meantime we have no printer ink so that's the next thing on the list if I can try and remember who I bought printer ink from before ???.
Is there anything I really need to include on this list to give me a slightly higher TPP?
Or anything I need to get for click snap, shopitize etc - I am getting the Felix for Quidco (we seem to just have Whiskas left which is not surprising)
Pretty pleaseMumto2monkeys wrote: »Good afternoon:wave:
