I was itching to go to Boots this weekend so persuaded my DH to go to Ikea in Straighton (as I do need a basket for the en-suite) and also stop off at the shops nearby. He said there isn't a Boots there by any chance? :rotfl:

I only got a pack of 2 reduced Oral B electrical brush heads for under £4. There was a reasonable amount of reduced shower gels etc left but not cheap enough to justify me buying any as I've still gots lots stashed here there and everywhere.

They had 2 reduced sony memory cards at £12.49, several photoframes around £3 and lots of Oral B electrical brush heads (the one I got under £4 - super soft I think) and about 5 Oral B sonic elecrical brush heads reduced to £4.99.

Was disappointed I didn't come out with bags of stuff but I did get my baskets from Ikea so it wasn't a wasted trip. :D

My grand plan for turning points to cash didn't work - I saw a pile of perfume on offer for £10 and after checking and finding it sold for £12 more on ebay I thought I had a winner - dashed back to Boots to find they'd all sold. Heyho. Consoled myself by buying another 3 T&G minis with 200 pt vouchers.

Oh yes....I had a load of validated vouchers credited to my account and the SA didn't mark a single one of the receipts to say they'd been added:eek: . My mate said to try and see if they work again but I can't bring myself to do it......it surely doesn't work....does it?

Hi wanted to get a couple of single use cameras today.
Boots currently have signs up like ; ALL single use cameras. Buy 1 get 1 free # excludes boots muiltipack and products must be same.

Currently some boots have Fulifilm 27exp single use camera with flash at £7.99 (pick up the pack with the manufacturer promotion of 1 free camera encluded in pack).

I picked up 2 packs and the Boots promo BOGOF did not go through. Superviser tried to say that the free camera was on the pack, so just say that what about all the other Boots own brand and Kodaks single use cameras then. say that you purchased 2 items and BOGOF not worked, its not excluded as per point of sale and hey presto! 4 fuji single use cameras for £7.99

Also I noticed some illegal overpricing (wish it was like tescos old policy there)

Ambre solaire sun tan lotion factor 50 bottles were red labelled up at £10 in the clearance section. Underneath these were a clearance sticker showing £5.49. SCANNED £10. Also in the summer section signs showing ALL Ambre solaire sun tan lotion BOGOF!! could have argued 2 for £5.49 but did not nead any.

    Check those overstickered labels.!

Lastly they had some memory cards which I think may be on sale for a while.
Compact flash cards 128mb REDUCED to £10
    SD cards 128mb again £10

did not buy any of those......

Thanks to all you experts out there I managed to get a £219 Phillips SmartouchXL razor for £30.30. It was on sale for £40, I had a 500 points and double points (= 320) coupon in the mail then got a 150 points on £20 spend from the AC machine. Making a total of 970 points on my £40 spend.

does any one know if this is just instore as i cant find it online
if its instore is it a clitch or marked down to the 40 ?

is anyone else having trouble with .com tonight i keep getting forwarded to the us site

    thanks

I spotted a sign today saying that if you bought 3 clinique products, you got 1000 advantage card points...

I have a double points voucher, would I be able to buy 3 things and use this voucher to get 2000 points (£20 quid back)??

That's not illegal overpricing, it's just that boots as a company are selling them at £10 but as each branch has different things at different prices, the SA has to scan the clearance sticker and enter the reduced price manually, then scan the actual barcode for the name to come up on the reciept. I've personally sold things at over the clearance price because i've scanned teh item barcode and not noticed the clearance sticker. If you point this out you will always get the difference refunded :)

The bottles originally had clearance labels of £5.49 and then overstickerd with £10.

Wonder if boots still would have honoured the buy 1 get 1 free on the sun tan lotion too??

I have always been led to believe thats its illegal to charge the higher price if 2 prices are shown for a product. Going back to my old retail working days there!

    Thanks
